Two months ago, it was December, and life felt like a dream. Adhiraj and I had celebrated New Year's Eve in Italy, just the two of us. Those days were magical; filled with laughter, exploration, and an undeniable spark in our relationship. It was like a honeymoon. Everything felt perfect as we strolled through cobblestone streets, dined under fairy lights, and, of course, enjoyed each other's company in ways that still send shivers down my spine. He made everything spicy extra spicy, if you ask me.

He ravished me in our private suite, mercilessly, from the walls to the floor, extending into the bathroom and even the balcony. That day I dared not venture out of the room due to lingering pain, and he stayed by my side as well as he was tired too.

He presents a rough, tough exterior to the world at large. In contrast, when it comes to fucking me or sleeping entwined with me, he transforms into someone entirely different - someone you understand all too well.

But, as much as I would love to live in that dream forever, reality came rushing back. The past two months were a whirlwind of chaos and planning. The entire family was preparing for Rithvik and Ishita's wedding, and since it was to take place in our ancestral village, Rajgarh, everything had to be perfect. From managing business work to organizing the wedding, it felt like I hadn't caught my breath since we returned.

Adhiraj was buried in work. He asked me to stay back in the city with him to make things easier for both of us though I suspect it was more for him, as he tends to skip meals when I'm not around. I reluctantly agreed. I learned a lot with Maa-sa and Dadi-sa during preparation of rituals.

Now, with just a few hours left before we head to Rajgarh by train tonight, the mansion feels eerily quiet. Everyone else in our family, Ishita, Rithvik, and even my parents had already left for the village. It's just Adhiraj and me.

The house is locked from the inside, with only the guards patrolling outside. I've packed our luggage and made a simple lunch for the two of us. Sitting at the dining table in a blue Ghagra, the silver waist chain resting snugly against my lower waist, I fiddled with my dupatta lazily draped over my shoulder.
