I thought u hated me?-solby

I wake up feeling Colby's arms still around me, there's no way im getting out of them. His grip on my waist is tight, like he will never be able o hold me again or something could take me at any minute. I dont want Colby to let me out of his warm grip, i like it, but after a while he unwraps his arms from me and shuffles back a bit so my face isn't on his chest anymore. He obviously woke up, i pretend to be asleep but then i feel Colby staring at me. It takes all of me not to blush but eventually he stops staring and shakes me awake.

"Sam" he whispers

"Hmmm" i say slepily

Are you ok from last night?"

"Oh um yeah im fine just ha a bad dream." I say As i sit up in bed rubbing my eyes. 

'Ok, im gonna have a shower" he says.

"Ok"i get up off the bed after he goes into the bathroom and get changed into black ripped jeans and a navy sweatshirt. I sit back on the bed and scroll on tik Tok again. I scroll upon another one of Colby's videos. It's of him at one of the tables in the hall at camp laughing. There is text saying, when you get weird vibes from that one guy, it's obvious to me that he is talking about the guy who tried to shoot him, i think his name was Alex. I decide to look at some of his other vids, one really catches my eye tho, its one of his back to the camera just relaxing in front of the forst, there is also a bit of text on this one and it says when u love someone you could never be with. I hope he's over the person hes talking about the forest reminds me of the dream i had last night, I have no fucking clue what that nightmare meant, hopefully nothing tho. Everything that's happened in the last week is crazy, i think i need to go for a run later but i dont know if ill go alone or not. Colby comes out of the bathroom fully dressed.

" im gonna go to breakfast, u coming?" Colby asks me

" yeah ofc"

I stand up off of the bed and walk out of the door after Colby. We start walking up the path towards the dining hall.

"Do you ever get that feeling like someone's watching u?" He says

" yeah i've felt it for the last couple of days"

"Same" i reply, i expect the convo to keep going but neither of us speak up, so instead it was awkward the rest of the way.

Once we reach the hall we go our seperate ways, i walk up to Corey and see Aron's still not here.

"Hey Sam"

" hey dude, still haven't seen Aron?" I ask

" nuh" Corey says

" hey Corey,?"

"Yo"

"Me and Colby keep feeling like we are being watched" i say

" oh i dont know if i can help you with that one"

"Hm, thanks anyways"

"Sry if I'm being dry, i am DRAINED of most energy" he says.

"I get u man"

"Thank" he says.

Today we are doing stand up paddle boarding, we were told to wait at the shed next to the lake. I dont see Nikki anywhere but then I see a male figure walking down to the lake . As he gets closer I realise it's Alex.

" alright everyone Nikki isn't feeling grea today so i will be with you today, go grab a board and a paddle and figure it out yourself."

God somethings up his ass today, i grab Paddle board and go out into the lake, i start with standing up on my knees and work my way up to standing eventually i get use to it and i paddle around with Corey, Aron's here now as well,

"Aron where were you at dinner yesterday and breakfast this morning" Corey asks.

" umm nowhere" he says quickly like he is trying to hide something.

I dont realise Colby paddling up behind me,

"Sam" Corey whispers and points behind me.

I turn around and suddenly i get poked in the stomach by a paddle and fell in the water, i surface and grab onto my board, i give Colby a death stare and get back onto my board. I flip him off and yell at him "fuck you, cunt!" He just ignores me and paddles off, ugh he pisses me off so much sometimes, eventually we finished paddle boarding, and know we are going for a bush walk im walking alongside Aron, I've seen a koala, a lizard and a roo so far. We are walking past a swamp, im the closest to the mud and then before I could do anything, Colby pushes me into the mud, " what is wrong with you!"

" sorry, it was a dare" he says blankly, he shrugs.

"I grab a handful of mud and throw it at him, it hits his arm. He looks down at his arm and back at me, he swipes the mud off of hs arm and flings it at me and it hits my face. Before i can yell at him, Alex yells;

" ok go back and clean up!" Alex said

Me and Colby have to walk back together, i just ignor him the whole time. Finally our cabin is in sight, i go straight into the bathroom and have a shower after i grab some clothes. I have a warm shower and scrub off the dry mud on my body. After im done i put on some cologne and walk back into the room pissed.

"Jeeze, what's wrong with you?" Colby asks, that was my last straw

"WHATS WRONG WITH ME!?, WHATS WRONG WITH ME IS THAT YOU JUST FLUNG MUD AT MY FACE, WE FIGHT OVER THE TINIEST LITTLE THING, YOU ACT LIKE YOUU HATE ME THEN OVER THE LAST WEEK ITS BEEN DIFFERENT,  THAT EVERY DAY IS ON AND OFF!" I scream at him while moving closer to him. "ITS ALWAYS 'SAM ARE YOU OK?' AND THEN THE NEXT MINUTE ITS 'FUCK OF SAM, I HATE YOU' SO WHICH ONE IS IT COLBY!?" Silence as he backs up i move closer to him. "HUH? CAUSE IM DONE WITH THIS SHIT, IM FUCKING TIRED, IM LOST, I DUNNO WHAT TO DO OR THINK BECAUSE OF YOU SODO YOU LOVE ME OR HATE ME COLBY!?, WHICH ONE IS IT, I WANNA FUCKING KNOW! His back hits the wall as im now really close to him. "TELL ME... and give me the truth cause i can't keep doing this" my voice breaks and my eyes tear up

"I-i love you" he whispers 

I look up at him in shock, not expecting him to say that, " y-you do?" I say slightly uneasy. But shocked, suprised, overthinking, confused, stressed out, every weird, wacky emotion you can think of, im feeling it. 

" mhmm" he hums, looks up at me and i know in that moment, things will never be the same between us.

i run out the cabin and into the woods where nobody can find me.
