Obviously everyone's stay at Enrique's wasn't long, with Vikki to blame. Daniela went home the other day with what wasn't damaged, sighing that the majority of her shit didn't go back with her.
She really wanted that fade with Vikki, not giving a rat's ass about her being a damn Saint. Whether Daniela knew Enrique or not, she wasn't fearful. She wanted to catch Vikki again. She needed that.
But when she wasn't planning on knocking her ass out, Daniela was focused on that connection she had with Enrique. He was so sweet to check on her, Daniela not leaving him on read this time around. He just always made her day better, and she thought back heavily on when his lips made their way to her knuckles. There was this immense amount of sparks flying through her, calming her down and making her forget why she was mad in the first place.
He was definitely a good distraction and certainly hard to forget. Daniela couldn't escape him—thinking of him as she exited the supermarket, heading to this smoothie truck with a smile on her face.
She wasn't the only one out today, walking past a crowd to get across the street, unaware that Enrique was at the red light. He didn't notice her either at first, doing a double take as she walked gracefully across the crosswalk.
They were going two separate ways, but once Enrique made sure there weren't any kids crossing, he made a U-turn, Berto catching his phone before it could fly out of his hands.
"Got damn," Berto held his panting chest. "You see somebody we need to shoot or something—" but once he saw why Enrique was pulling close to the curb, he smirked. "She's gonna roll her eyes and ignore you."
"You on some hating shit," Enrique responds, keeping his eyes trained on Daniela as she orders.
Berto nods, "Nova not talking to me right now," awaiting a suggestion on how to make her forgive him.
"Don't look at me for help. I gotta put my energy towards getting Daniela to talk to me, remember?" he asks, Berto tucking his lips.
"Aight. I was kidding," Berto seeing Enrique ignore him and block out his existence. "Let me at least vent, man."
Enrique watched Daniela hand over cash. "I don't wanna hear about ya problems." And proving he was being deadass, Enrique honked his horn to get her attention. Daniela was slightly startled, looking over her shoulder because she could feel that whoever was honking was trying to call out to her. "Who you looking this good for?"
Daniela instantly smiles, fixing her face. "Me, myself, and I," she says, holding her bag of groceries with one hand, the other on her hip. "Following me?"
Enrique shrugs, "I saw you and I had to stop," instant jitter-filled butterflies on her end.
"Why is that?" She asks, squinting lightly with the sun shining in her eyes.
"Needed to check up on my MMA champ," Daniela smirked as he mentioned her fight. He mentions with a faint smile on his face, "You left her with a knot and bruised chest."
She glanced at Berto and saw him nod at her in a greeting way, Daniela doing the same. "She should've known not to bother me."
"You made that very clear, mamita," Enrique says to her, taking a quick glimpse of her outfit. She looked so cute today, her dark red glasses pushed on her face and her wedges snuggled on her feet.
Daniela turned around to retrieve her drink, grabbing a hold of the styrofoam cup filled with a mixed berry, banana yogurt smoothie. She took a sip and spun back around to see Enrique still there, swallowing the smoothie to conceal her happiness.
