The dinner had been a silent affair, with everyone mechanically going through the motions of eating and then retreating back to their respective rooms. Abhay had returned to his room, his laptop open in front of him as he worked on some tasks that required his attention. But his focus was broken when his phone buzzed with a notification. He sighed as he read the message..."Don't forget to take your medicines and take rest...no need to over exert yourself..."
A gentle reminder from Ruhi to take his medicines and get some rest. She had been doing this ever since she had found out about his health condition, and Abhay couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. On one hand, he appreciated her genuine care and concern, but on the other hand, he felt something different by her constant reminders and worrying.
Despite his best efforts to keep her at a distance, Ruhi seemed to be making her way into his mind and heart. Abhay couldn't understand why he was feeling this way about her. She was his best friend's sister, and he had always thought of her as just that. But lately, he had started to notice the way she smiled, the way her eyes sparkled when she laughed, and the way her voice sounded when she spoke to him. Abhay shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. He couldn't afford to feel this way about Ruhi. It wasn't right.
Pushing aside his thoughts, Abhay decided to take his medicines. It was a task he couldn't miss, not if he wanted to save himself from further deterioration of his health in front of others....He got out of bed and made his way to the kitchen downstairs, his feet padding softly on the floor. As he walked down the corridor, he noticed that the lights in Harsh's room were still on. "Ye itni raat tak kyun jag rahe hain?" Abhay thought to himself, wondering what was keeping Harsh awake at such a late hour...He waited for a moment confusion about his thought should he ask him or not but then not able to come to any decision he shrugged off the thought and continued on his way to the kitchen, his mind preoccupied with his own thoughts and worries....
As Abhay continued down the corridor, he noticed one of the servants emerging from a room with an empty glass of milk in his hand. The servant approached Abhay and asked, "Sir, aapko kuch chahiye?" Abhay replied, "Ya, just had to fill this jug of water." The servant offered, "Mein kar deta hoon, sir... aur aapke room mein bhi rakh deta hoon." Abhay initially declined, saying, "It's okay, I'll do it," but the servant insisted, and Abhay eventually nodded in approval.
As the servant took the jug from Abhay, he heard a faint whimpering sound coming from nearby. He turned to locate the source of the noise and realized that he was standing near Ruhaan's room in the corridor and the door was slightly opened.... Ruhaan was sitting on his bed, talking to someone on the phone, which was on speaker. Abhay's eyes widened slightly as he heard the voice on the other end of the call,
"Yaar, kya hai tera? Aadhi raat ko kaun padhta hai?Soja aur mujhe bhi sone de"
"Haan toh so jaana na mein kaha mana kr rha hu...bs itna bol rha hu mujhe Accounts k notes smjh nhi aa rhe hai ...tu thodha samjha de sb uppar se ja rha hai mere"ruhaan said cutely...
"Ruhaan Malhotra raat ke 1 bj rhe hai yaar...sone ka waqt hai ye aur mere jaise shareef insaan iss waqt sote hai...tujh jaise ullu ki tarah jaagte nhi hai soja chupchaap...kl clg mein smjha dunga.."Rohan spoke from other side in sleep and frustration...
No saint man who loves to sleep would like to be disturbed at night just because of his idiot friend who's more studious...
"Rohan yaar kl toh test hai na isiliye bol rha hu ... already itni classes miss ho gyi hai meri...concepts ki khichdi bn gyi hai..socha tha commerce lunga toh maths se chutkara mil jaayega...per ye accounts toh aur rula rahi hai"
