SOKU
The profound silence of the forest was violently shattered by cries of agony, echoing through the dense canopy. Sharp commands, barked in various tongues, added to the chaos.
Two figures darted through the underbrush, their green Elven Glass armor catching the dappled sunlight. The remnants of their tattered brown cloaks fluttered like wounded birds. Leading the way was a male Forest Elf, his unruly dark brown hair falling to his shoulders. Close behind him, a female Forest Elf with light brunette hair, almost blonde, flowed in a wild cascade down her back.
Their path was abruptly blocked by several Tengu, their spears and nets poised menacingly.
The male Forest Elf surged forward, his twin swords flashing with a speed that outmatched the Tengu's anticipation. Mortal cries sliced through the air as he struck, each slash precise and deadly.
"Impressive," murmured Soku, observing from some distance. He stroked his chin thoughtfully before sprinting to intercept the fleeing Elves.
The male Forest Elf quickened his pace as he saw Soku approach, but his desperate swings met only air. Soku, with his trained physique and keen eye, easily evaded the attacks, positioning himself advantageously.
A well-placed punch landed on the male Forest Elf's temple, dropping him unconscious without severe injury.
The female Forest Elf halted, abandoning her initial intent to attack alongside her companion. She noticed the danger this red skinned Tengu pose as Soku incapacitated her partner with effortless precision.
Her light brunette hair swayed as she assumed a fighting stance, both hands gripping her Elven swords with determined intensity.
Soku smiled, recognizing her superior skill compared to her fallen comrade. He shifted into his own stance, drawing his sword partially from its wooden sheath, ready to engage.
Their eyes met, the tension palpable, as they prepared for battle.
The female Forest Elf act first, she moved with such speed that her body seemed to vanish, reappearing with sword flashes aimed at Soku. The Tengu dodged with minimal, precise movements, then countered with a powerful spinning slash.
Three swords clashed, the sound ringing through the forest. The larger blade repelled the smaller ones, sending the Forest Elf crashing into a tree. She struggled to rise, her swords still in hand, but Soku was already upon her. A calculated knee strike to her stomach knocked the wind out of her.
Soku grabbed her hair, preventing her from collapsing. He lifted her unconscious form effortlessly, carrying her with one arm under her back and the other beneath her knees, her swords resting atop her body.
Soku stared at her helpless body while shaking his head and murmured, "When fighting, focus solely on your opponent. Distractions always lead to defeat."
He turned toward the male Forest Elf, lying prone unconscious on the ground, as other Tengus approached. They grumbled as they neared the male.
"Damn, two of ours were killed by this one," one Tengu complained.
"And now we can't even eat them!" another lamented.
Soku ignored their grievances, calming his own breathing.
"We're forbidden from killing them, but we can still make them pay," one Tengu suggested.
"How?" asked another.
Soku remained silent, maintaining his composure.
"They seem close, like siblings or lovers."
"Lovers, definitely. The woman is far more attractive."
