Karanveer had been searching for Ragini for the past fifteen minutes, but she was nowhere to be found. Frustrated, he finally cornered Manvi, who was busy chatting with Samay.
"Where is she?" he asked, his voice laced with impatience.
"Who?" Manvi asked innocently, raising an eyebrow.
He gave her a bored look. "Tumhari bhabhi," he clarified.
"Oh, Siya bhabhi? She's with her cousins," she replied nonchalantly.
"Manvi..." Karanveer's tone turned sharper.
"Arrey arrey, saf saf bolo na," she teased, enjoying his irritation.
"Ragini. Where is Ragini?" he asked again, his patience wearing thin.
"Ah, Ragini bhabhi! Well, after the pool incident, she was feeling too shy and embarrassed, so she went back home," Manvi replied with a mischievous grin.
His eyes widened. "Are you serious?"
"You don't know Siya bhabhi and her cousins," she said, still grinning. "They can be relentless, and poor Ragini bhabhi is just too innocent for their teasing."
Without waiting for further explanation, Karanveer turned on his heel and left.
Back at home, Ragini had just changed into a comfortable outfit and was drying her hair. As she rubbed the towel through her damp locks, her mind wandered to the moment in the pool. She blushed at the memory of Karanveer holding her, followed by the relentless teasing that Siya and her cousins had subjected her to afterward.
"Ragini."
Startled, she turned around at the sound of his voice and found Karanveer standing at the door, looking both amused and annoyed.
"aap yahaan?" she exclaimed, clutching the towel in her hands.
"Why didn't you tell me you were leaving? I could have come along," he said, stepping closer.
"You were busy with Akash and your friends," she replied softly. "I didn't want to disturb that."
"Disturb me?" he asked incredulously. "Biwi, you're my priority, not some game or party."
She looked down, biting her lip. "I just didn't want to ruin your fun..."
"Ragini," he interrupted, his voice firm but gentle, stepping closer to her. "If you ever leave like that again without telling me, I'll... I'll..."
"You'll what?" she asked, a small smile tugging at her lips, trying to mask the nervous flutter in her chest.
Without a word, he grabbed her hand and pulled her toward him, her chest colliding with his as her arms instinctively found their way around his neck. His hands slid to her waist, holding her firmly, pulling her even closer.
"I'll carry you back to wherever I am," he replied, his tone serious, but his eyes twinkled with playful affection.
Ragini stared at him in surprise before a soft laugh escaped her lips. The weight of her earlier embarrassment dissolved under his gaze, replaced by a warmth she couldn't ignore.
"I missed you too much," he admitted, his voice low, almost a whisper, but his sincerity rang loud and clear.
Her cheeks flushed a deep pink as she tried to look away, but he wasn't having it. Gently, he tilted her chin up, his fingers brushing against her skin.
"No more running away, samjhi?" he said, his voice tender but commanding.
She nodded slowly, her heart fluttering at his closeness and the intensity in his gaze. "Samjhi," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
