Ragini woke up to the sight of Karanveer still fast asleep, his face peaceful and calm. She quietly got out of bed, careful not to wake him, as she had to get ready for the day. She had promised Dadi she would accompany her to the temple today.
After a few hours, Karanveer stirred awake, his eyes fluttering open as he blinked in confusion at his surroundings. For a moment, he couldn't place where he was, but then it hit him—he was in Kolkata.
Groaning, he sat up, rubbing his face. He looked around, expecting to find Ragini, but she wasn't there. After freshening up, he decided to go look for her. Stepping out of the room, he noticed the unusual silence that hung in the air. There was no sign of Ragini or the rest of the family.
Confused, Karanveer made his way to the entrance of the house, where he finally spotted Dada Ji lounging on a recliner, reading the newspaper.
"Good morning, Dada Ji," Karanveer greeted, walking up to him.
Dada Ji looked up, smiling warmly. "Ah, you've woken up, beta. Hope you had a good sleep?"
Karanveer nodded. "Yes"
"Where's Ragini?" he asked after a pause
"She went to the temple with her Dadi," Dada Ji replied, turning back to his newspaper.
"Oh," Karanveer muttered, feeling a little awkward without Ragini around. Not sure what else to say, he stood there for a moment before deciding to explore Badi and pass the time. As he wandered around, taking in the quiet charm of the place, he noticed a group of girls looking at him curiously from a distance.
Intrigued, the girls approached him, clearly interested. "Hello! Are you new here?" one of them asked.
Karanveer smiled politely and introduced himself. "I'm Karanveer... Ragini's husband."
The girls exchanged glances, clearly shocked. "So, you're Ragini's husband?" one of them asked, her voice tinged with disbelief.
Karanveer nodded and grinned. For some reason, being referred to as Ragini's husband felt nice—more than he had expected. He stood there, chatting casually with them, enjoying the light attention.
Just then, Ragini walked into Badi with Dadi by her side. Her eyes immediately landed on Karanveer, surrounded by girls, smiling and chatting like the center of attention. She raised an eyebrow, her lips curling into an amused smirk.
"Yeh bade Gopiyo ke Krishna ban rahe hain," she muttered to herself, shaking her head.
Making sure he could hear her, Ragini raised her voice as she spoke to Dadi, "Dadi, I'll keep this inside."
Karanveer, hearing her, immediately glanced in her direction and started moving towards her
As Karanveer spotted Ragini leaving the house temple and heading towards her room, he immediately trailed behind her.
"Biwi," he called out, but she kept walking, ignoring him. Confused, he frowned. 'Ab maine kya kar diya?' he thought.
"Biwi, suno toh," he called again, this time louder.
"Haan bolo," she finally responded, her tone nonchalant, clearly giving him the cold shoulder.
"Can you bring me my morning coffee and also take out my clothes from the suitcase? I'm going to take a bath," he asked, trying to sound casual.
"Why don't you go ask your gopiyan to do it for you?" she shot back, her words dripping with sarcasm.
"Kaun gopi?" Karanveer asked, genuinely confused.
