The next day
"Hehh... How dare he act haughty when he's the one at fault!!" Taehyung spat out as he walked toward the business department with Jimin and Jungwon.
Jimin chuckled, nudging Taehyung's shoulder playfully. "Calm down, Tae. You're going to give yourself wrinkles if you keep frowning like that."
"Wrinkles are the least of my worry right now," Taehyung retorted, his voice dripping with anger. "Does he think he can just walk all over people and get away with it?"
"Well, technically, he hasn’t gotten away with it yet," Jungwon chimed in, glancing at Taehyung with a shoulder shrug. "And if I know you, you won’t let him."
"Damn right, I won't," Taehyung muttered, his jaw tightening.
As they neared the business department, the trio paused at the grand entrance, Taehyung straightened his posture, determination flickering in his eyes.
"Alright," Jimin said, stepping forward and clapping his hands together excitedly. "What's the plan, bestie!?"
Taehyung smirked, "Simple. We’re going to remind him who he’s dealing with."
Jungwon raised an eyebrow, curious. "And how exactly do you plan to do that?"
Taehyung’s smirk widened, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Just follow my lead."
With that, he pushed the doors open and strode inside with confident steps.
_
The business department was bustling with students as they hurried between lectures and group meetings. Taehyung pushed open the door with a sharp flick of his wrist. Jimin and Jungwon trailed behind him, their expressions a mix of curiosity and tension.
“There he is,” Taehyung muttered, his gaze immediately setting on Jungkook.
Jungkook was seated at one of the tables near the large windows, surrounded by a few friends. He was laughing at something one of them said, looking entirely too relaxed for someone who’d committed that crime with Taehyung’s brand-new bike.
“I swear he’s mocking me,” Taehyung hissed under his breath, his steps quickening.
“Calm down, Tae. Don’t storm in like you’re in an action movie,” Jimin warned, tugging at Taehyung’s sleeve. “we might get kicked out if y'all cause too much of a big scene.”
“Calm down?!” Taehyung whipped his head toward Jimin, his voice a harsh whisper. “He literally destroyed my bike, Jimin.”
“I mean, he’s fixing it, isn’t he?” Jungwon piped up, his tone more teasing than supportive. “You should say ‘thank you’ for his generosity!”
Taehyung shot him a glare. “Do you want to die young, Jungwon?”
Jungwon grinned, clearly unfazed. “Nah, I’m good. But I wouldn’t mind seeing you roasting him alive. Make it fun, though.”
Taehyung rolled his eyes but didn’t respond. By then, they were already nearing Jungkook’s table. The laughter at the table quiet down as Jungkook noticed them approaching. He leaned back in his chair, an easy smirk spreading across his face.
“Well, well, if it isn’t Kim Taehyung,” Jungkook said, loud enough to draw his friends’ attention. “To what do I owe the pleasure? Finally here to thank me for agreeing to fix your precious bike?”
Taehyung crossed his arms, glaring down at him. “Thank you? For what? Sneaking into my garage and smashing it in the first place?”
Jungkook’s smirk didn’t waver. “Correction: I never said I smashed it. Don’t go putting words in my mouth, Kim.”
Taehyung’s jaw clenched. “Oh, so it just magically got destroyed, huh? It wasn’t even parked anywhere near you or your car.”
Jungkook shrugged nonchalantly. “Guess the universe really hates you, huh?”
