The rest of the week went by with no incidents. I continually checked up on Isamu seeing how everything with his healing process was going. My chakra had healed most of his wounds but there was still the risk of blindness and/or hearing loss. However, Isamu healed up quickly and without a hitch. Sasuke did the same and was training with the rest of the team and Suna ninjas before his week of bed rest was over.

We were on our way back to the Village Hidden in the Leaf finally. All of us were excited to go back and see everyone and sleep in our own beds. It was like a vacation. People like the time they have away from home, but once they're back they realize that they missed it dearly. On the other hand, our trip was no vacation. Death plagued us at every corner and with all the close calls the team had we were ready to go back to the safety that our village provided.

"Hinata." A voice pulled me from my thoughts as we ran through the trees only a couple miles out of Konoha.

I looked over to see Naruto running beside me looking ahead with a serious face.

"Do you think you and Sasuke will get married?" he asked glancing over at me keeping his serious expression.

"Why do you think that?" I asked completely blindsided by the question.

"Well I'm just wondering. You know. I might be the best man or something. If you guys do get married I need to start planning the Bachelor Party and round up the guys so we can hit the clubs." Now Naruto gave way to his usual cheeky smile.

I rolled my eyes and shook my head. To think I had a crush on this guy back in the day.

"No Naruto. We will not be getting married." I said immediately feeling confident in my words.

"Wait what?!"

Everyone stopped when they heard Naruto's yell.

"WHOA WHOA WHOA!!! WHAT ARE SAYING? ARE YOU JUST A PLAYER? Wait I don't think girls are called that..." The other guys had gathered around as I frantically tried to calm Naruto down.

"It's not like that. I'm just saying it's not going to happen anytime soon." I reassured him though I felt as if I was lying to the young ninja. Soon enough he was happy-as-can-be and went back to his usual idiotic self.

"What was that all about?" Kiba asked.

"Oh just Naruto being Naruto." I said trying to shrug it off as if the situation was completely normal. The others didn't believe me. They knew the blond ninja inside and out from working countless missions and training. Nevertheless, they let it go and we all headed home.

Home. The amazing feeling of my own shower, my own bed, my own room, it all hit me hard in the chest. After almost losing Sasuke and the other guys it was such a relief to be home.

After dropping our stuff off at our house and cleaning up we all trudged to the Hokage's office. We retold the events of the past few weeks from the point when we left Konoha to when we got back. Tsunadae listened intently leaning forward on her hands with her elbows on her desk.

"I see. Well I'm glad you're back safely. You made the right choice not pursuing Asura." She said leaning back in her chair.

Once we finished our report we all went home; however, Sasuke and I walked around town holding hands and talking nonsense.

"Did you know that pandas come from you sweating?" Sasuke joked laughing as he squeezed my hand that was engulfed by his.

"Oh really?" I giggled out raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah, without your existence we wouldn't have any of the cute fluffy animals like pandas." He said trying to act serious but he couldn't hide his smirk. I had noticed that the more he was around me the less he kept his stone mask on.

"I'll take your word for it." I agree. "So it that why I'm so cute?" I asked nudging his shoulder.

"No, that's why you're so not cute. They took all the cuteness out of you. Now all that's left is you." He said while putting disgust in his voice on the last word, 'you.'

I gasped in mere shock that he would say such a thing then laughed and punched his shoulder. "Jerk."

"Yeah, I know I am but it is okay because you still love me don't ya." He said planting a kiss on my cheek.

"I don't know I might have to rethink our relationship. I mean Lee is pretty cute. You better be nice to me or someone like him might steal my heart." I said in a dead serious tone looking off into the distance.

Sasuke, of course, knew I was being sarcastic and mocked jealousy. "But you're the straw to my berry!" He complained grabbing my shoulders making me stare into his eyes as he gave me the best puppy dog face of all time. "You can't leave me." Suddenly his voice dropped dangerously low. "You will be mine forever."

I shook my head and turned away from him. "I'll only be yours if you feed me." I started walking to the ramen shop.

"Ugh! Girls are so expensive." The dark haired ninja groaned out.

"Well suck it up because I could turn into a cannibal and make you my dinner." I threatened.

"Whoa. You have taken this relationship to the next level. I think we need to take a break. We are moving way too fast." He said holding his hand up in a 'stop' motion.

I laughed and walked into the shop sitting down at the counter ordering a small bowl of ramen. Sasuke did the same only in a large bowl. We ate laughing as we made fun of each other's eating habits while cleaning the others face for them.

Once we finished we continued to walk around town until we ended up at the park. Silence fell between us but it wasn't awkward between us; instead, it was comfortable, almost comforting just to have the other next to us. I sat on the swing and automatically Sasuke walked behind me and started pushing me.

My mind wandered to when we first met in the arena when I was testing for the Black Ops. A smile crept on my face and when I looked over Sasuke's face was right there as he held the swing in place. His onyx eyes stared deep into mine. Any person would think that he would kiss me but that's not how we did things. Instead I was ridiculed for my apparently funny features.

"Why are you smiling? You need to stop you look creepy." Sasuke said leaning closer so our foreheads touched.

"Thanks." I mumbled jutting out my lower lip.

"Hey, I'm just saying. If you weren't my girlfriend I would be scared that you would be planning my death, but since you love me I don't have to worry." He said shrugging and ruffling my hair.

"Yeah, you don't have to worry until I go crazy and lock you in my basement because you looked at another girl." I joked jumping from the swing and twirling into his arms. "Because you're mine now." I said in the creepiest voice I could muster.

In the crazy of the moment Sasuke kissed me lightly on the lips. The kiss lasted forever but, yet, felt so short lived. When he pulled away he was smiling like a fool. The smile he never showed anyone besides those he cared for most.

"I would enjoy each moment of captivity." He whispered in my ear.

He took my hand and kissed my palm before he started walking me back to my house so we could both rest before having to get up early and start training again.

We made it to my house without saying a word. I turned to say goodbye, but he stopped me but shushing me.

"After almost dying I don't want to say goodbye. We say I will miss you till I see you again." He ordered giving the tip of my nose a peck.

"Alright. I will, believe it or not Sasuke Uchiha, miss you till I see you again." I said smiling as if asking him if he was happy yet.

"That was so perfect I think I might cry." He said sarcastically as he mimicked wiping tears from his eyes.

We both smiled and laughed staring into each other's eyes for a while before we released each other's hands and separated going our separate ways till morning.
