A shadow came out of the darkness and wrapped its arms around me holding me tight as my body shook.
"Why do you cry?" it asked me as its gentle hands smoothed my hair. The voice was familiar.
"Gaara." I breathed out quickly wiping my tears. "I'm just confused I guess. I'm fine though."
"You didn't seem fine a minute ago." He retorted.
I pulled away and gave him my best smile. "I'm just a little stressed since losing my memory."
His turquoise eyes studied my face for a minute before shrugging and picking me up. I gasped but didn't struggle against him.
"Did you see Sasuke?" He asked staring straight ahead as he carefully stepped through the dark forest.
"Yes, he is doing well."
"Have any memories come back yet?"
"No."
He didn't say anything after that and neither did I. Gaara carried me the rest of the way home in silence. It wasn't awkward. Since before I was put into the hospital we were close friends. He gave me the strength I needed to keep moving.
Once we made it to my house he set me down at my front door and gave me a peck on the cheek.
"Thank you." I said smiling up at him.
"Good night Hinata. I'll be here in the morning to get you for breakfast and training. How does that sound?"
"It sounds like a date." I bowed and then turned and unlocked my door immersing myself in my dark home.
Once I found my bed I was out like a light. My head and eyes hurt from all the crying that I did in the forest. It was nice to be home again.
I woke up and showered and got dressed in my attire. Right when I had finished a knock was heard on the door. I skipped over excited to start my day with one of my favorite people in the village.
"I am ready to train!" I said as I opened the door, but Gaara wasn't the one standing there, it was Sasuke. "Oh! Hi, sorry I thought you were someone else."
"Sorry to startle you. I just wanted to make sure you were okay. You seemed a little shaken up last night." He said stepping forward to look at me closer.
"I'm fine." I tried to swallow back a lump forming in my throat. He's too close. Push him away. He is only one man. The thoughts screamed in my mind but my body wanted to be even closer to him.
"Hinata?" A raspy voice broke the silence that had formed between us.
I leaned around Sasuke and saw bright red hair and instantly smiled. "Gaara! I'm ready." I said as I side stepped Sasuke and ran up to the Kazekage.
"Sasuke, how are you today?" Gaara asked seeing that the man that had me blocked before turned around and was the one and only Uchiha ninja.
"I'm good. What are the 'two' of you up today?" Sauske asked back spitting out the word two like it brought bile to his throat.
"We're training! Would you like to join?" I asked looking at Gaara to see if that was okay. The red head nodded and smiled his small smile saying that it was fine if Sasuke joined.
"I'd love to join you." Sasuke said in a calm voice.
It was settled then. We all walked together to the training grounds. We did little warm ups against the logs sitting up already heavily worn from other ninjas coming over to train. Then we got a little more intense. It started with Gaara and Sauske facing off against each other. The atmosphere turned deadly as one striked the other only to be blocked or the attack to be dodged. It was a back and forth battle that was hostile yet beautiful. They seemed to be fighting for something they were both very passionate about.
