Ayshu's POV

She grinned as she held my hands.

"All right, I would stop at nothing to win back your friendship and your trust. Do you believe I would allow this small matter to destroy our friendship? Anything I can do for you, Ayshu"
She said that and then gave me a hug. I gave her a hug in return because I was at a loss for what to do.

Even though I did not fully believe her, we talked for a while. It was invaluable to sit with one of my closest friends, also known as my former best friend, and treasure every moment we spent together. Nobody knew anything about me except her. It was a great relief because I allowed her to see me really, unfiltered.

But the real suffering here is telling Anshu all of this and persuading him to give her another chance. Oh, mmm. See how it turns out.

________

At the café

In order to meet with Anshu and tell him everything, I called him. He might be dramatic, but I can not keep this from Anshu. I am not sure how he would respond to this kind of news.

"Ayshu"
He came over and sat in front of me after waving at me.

"Hello, am I late?"
"No you aren't."
So, tell me what is so crucial that you must discuss it.

Sincerely, I am afraid to tell Anshu about all of this, so I swallowed and silently stared at him.

"Hey, where are you? Why do you stare at me as if I am the first person you have ever seen? Do I really look that handsome?

"I give another chance to Hanan."

I closed my eyes and said it without even glancing at Anshu.

_____________

Anshu's POV

The unexpected declaration was like a powerful storm. How did it happen? What was it that I missed? After all the dirty things she had done, how could she have done that? Is she really that stupid to believe her?

"What have you said?"

When I met Hanan yesterday, she begged me to pardon her. She made an effort to explain everything to me, and in addition, she is going through a divorce.
"So?"
"So, she asked me to forgive her, and I did, but with a caveat."

"In what condition?"

"Anything she did to Zaman, I asked her to confess."

"And you have faith in her?"

"Obviously not, but she assured me that she would. However, I reasoned that there was no harm in giving her a chance.

"Ayshu, you truly are incredible."

"Now what have I done?"

Am I being tricked by her? Or is this all a joke that we can all laugh at?

"You mean it? Come on, even a kindergartener could see how pathetic you are to believe that woman and allow her to ruin your life again. You did not realize what you had done to yourself. I mean, how can you be so stupid as to give her a chance yourself?"
I am not going to stop because she deserves it, even though she gave me a very angry look.

"Your so-called best friend has been causing you pain for the past two years, and I have finally figured out how to fix everything, but you give in to her melodrama and believe all of her lies. I am shocked by you.

"Enough already. You can say whatever you want, but this is my life, Anzar, and I get to choose who I can forgive and who I can't. If you think I am a dump girl, I do not care. Thank you for all of your help, but I think I can manage my life now. I am leaving."
After that single exchange, she bounded out of the cafe. I am numb as I stand there because of what happened; I should be angry at her for the most stupid thing she did, but everything goes the other way.
