Chapter 27 : Into The Unknown

Part 1 | 2 :

"What else?" Klaus snapped at Mayeeve, his voice thick and his eyes angry. Mayeeve sighed and looked down at her toes.

Sympathy practically radiating off of her. "Mayeeve." he growled, his voice showing that his temper was incredibly close to breaking.

"What else can we do!" He screamed, suddenly, he had Mayeeve by the throat, slamming her head against the wall, his hands tightening on her throat.

"Klaus!" Screamed Hayley. "Nik." Growled Rebekah. "Tell me. You know something. What . Is . It ." He snarled through his fangs, and his eyes changing into their vibrant yellow, the veins showing under his eyes. Mayeeve struggled within his grip, her mouth opened, floundering for air.

I'd let this go on for to long.

I showed up beside Mayeeve, facing Klaus.

"Klaus." I snapped at him, tears stinging behind my eyes. "It isn't her fault, okay. There's nothing we can do now. Except ... wait." I whispered, and his wide yellow eyes turned to me, his attention leaving the struggling witch, although his fingers stayed enclosed around her skinny throat.

"You aren't going to die a marter, Hope." He growled. "She knows something that can help us. I know she does." He said, raised her off the floor as she struggled to spit out words, a spell anything.

"Maybe. But she can't talk with a crushed jugular." I retorted, after a few moments of silence, he dropped the girl to her feet, and she landed on her knees, coughing and hacking, holding her bruised throat. I helped her back up to her feet, stepping in between Klaus and her.

"I can keep helping her." She whispered, her breathe coming put in pants and gasps. "With the bloodlust. She can live normally, for whatever days she has left." she promised, a.d I silently wondered why she was still helping. "Thank you. Your service is greatly appreciated." Elijah told her, although his voice seemed hard.

"Tyler needs to know doesn't he?" Elena asked, her voice small and thick. My heart sank.

Tyler.

What was I going to tell Tyler?

Oh, sorry I might.die in a couple months, we had a great run?

My voice got caught in my throat.

Nobody said anything for a moment. Once my tsunami of emotions past, a few minutes of awkward silence and staring at me for an answer later, I nodded my head.

"I... Ill tell him." I gulped, closing my eyes tightly, letting a tear fall down my cheek. I'd been marked for death, so how was I about to tell Tyler?
