Chapter 22 : Bloodlust

Part 1/1:

"It was weird..." I mumbled. Tyler narrowed his eyes.

"Weird like... How...?" He asked. I shrugged, "I don't know, I've never like... had a sleepover before. They insisted on doing my hair and nails, and watching movies with popcorn... It was.... weird... But fun." I said with a blissful smile. Tyler laughed,

"So no naked pillow fights?" He smirked. I scoffed and threw a bread roll at him. "No. Jerk." I laughed. We both laughed as we picked at the gross cafeteria food.

"What about you?" I asked, pushing the plastic blue tray filled with unidentifiable foods farther away from me, leaning back in my chair. He laughed,

"What do you mean?"

He asked me. "What did you do all weekend?" I asked. He shrugged, "Played some football with Derick and Kyle... Played video games with Matt and Jeremy." He shrugged.

"Did Jeremy say anything about me?" I asked curiously. Tyler rolled his eyes, "Just that you couldn't be trusted, and your dad was a dick." Tyler said, rolling his eyes. I chewed on the inside of my lip nervously.

"You don't believe any of that though...? Right...?" I said slowly, glancing up at him sheepishly.

"No."

He said.

"No. Of course not."

He added, grabbing my hand over the table. I nodded and smiled. "Really?" I asked quietly, leaning forward on the table. Tyler grinned and leaned forward too.

Just as our lips were about to touch, the bell let out a loud shrill and I sighed, smiling. "Come on." I chuckled grabbing my bag.

"Were going to be late." I chuckled, Tyler stood, holding his own bag, and he pulled me to a stop.

"Wait a second..." He grinned. I laughed as he kissed me, and then we began walking to physics together.

***

It had been two days since my date with Tyler, and slumber party with Bonnie, Caroline, and Elena.

I was still having the weird dreams with Stefan, telling me his life's story. How he had once been a powerful witch and then he was turned by a woman named Quetsiyah.

However, he hadn't told me why he was speaking to me, or where he actually was. Or his name.

I thought of it as only my imagination. It wasn't the first time I'd had odd dreams.

Tyler and I hadn't seen each other since Friday, and we were planning on going to the decade dance together on Saturday, hoping for a better turnout than last time we went to a school event.

The season's first football game was this Friday, and I couldn't wait to be a cheerleader for real. Caroline and Bonnie had been helping me a lot with the routines.

I hadn't heard from Klaus, or Hayley, or Elijah, or any of them since Thanksgiving and I was perfectly fine imagining they all didn't exist.

That I had a normal life with a normal boyfriend, and normal problems.
