Chapter 2- Friends, Then Not Friends

A few moments later...

How could this be that in a matter of weeks my best friends becomes mean, jealous, and then tells me she was never a true friend. I was swimming in the pool of madness and Myra was just trying to calm me down and Dianna was just standing there with a smug face. Sasha folded her arms next to Dianna and smirked at me with her perfectly glossed lips and stared right at me with her evil gray eyes. My sight traveled back to her eyes because I thought I saw her eyes turn completely black.

Hm, they don't look black anymore, I should talk to Dr. Carstairs about my eyesight; I will talk to her later tomorrow evening. I made a small mental note to my Abracam, which was a new, cool looking pair of digi-glasses my mom gave me for my 14th birthday. Turning my focus back to Sasha and Dianna, I was disgusted by how Dianma wore exactly what Sasha wore that evening. They could get caught for that, but of course The Caretaker of Red County was too generous. I got a little closer to Sasha to check her eyes but she shivered and moved back. Well that was odd! I was confused, why was she backing up?

" We will be leaving now, I don't want my new and dear friend to get in trouble for hanging out with you guys at such a late time and in such a disgusting area. I hope you don't mind, Alisha" Sasha scoffed. They both flipped their hair, black against the setting sun in the background and stormed away falling in step with each other.

Two black devils against the beautiful sky that was now mourning the day and giving birth to the night.

"Ugh, she disgusts me!" Myra announced not for the first time.

"Who are you talking about?" I asked her even though I obviously knew who she was talking about..

"BOTH of them!" she exclaimed.

The previous day had ended with an abrupt goodbye and then everyone left anyway so I couldn't walk around the garden and look for stars like I usually did.

For some reason I didn't feel so bad after Dianna revealed her secrets because I had a foreboding it was coming and she had already changed into a different person which got me used to the annoying side of her. So many things had changed in my life. I got a new best friend, I just started high-school, and I just lost a best friend. I was overwhelmed with the twist and turns in my life. Life was so crazy, I wonder how patrols and Officials master and perfected their way of life...

"Alisha!!!! Please respond!" Myra shook me out of my thoughts. "You zoned out AGAIN!" Oh god, me and my thoughts, always drifting out into space like a rocket in zero gravity. I thought.

"Sorry, sorry, you know how I always drift off! So, stop complaining!" I responded.

"Why can't you get your brain altered then, if you can't pay attention!" Myra blurt out to me.

"If you had taken doctoral training you would know the answer to that! And the reason I have you is because my problem!" I pointed out. Myra, Myra, Myra, never obsessed with her future like I was.

"Okay, okay well now we have to get going to the studio or else Mrs. De' Dance will get very upset with us!"

"Alright, let me go get my bag and the technocycle keys. I also have to change my attire, but I will be back soon!" My life is full of mad friends, dumb brains, and no happiness! With the complains of my life stirring in my head like an unexplainably annoying bunch of voices talking over each other, I pulled on my pink shirt, loose black pants, and white canvas shoes. Perfect!

"Ok I'm ready!" I called out to Myra as I slung my zebra stripped handbag over my shoulder,tightened my ponytail and told my Abracam to get my technocycle key ready.

"Come over here! You HAVE to see this!" Myra called from the back of my house. What does she have up her sleeve now? She sounded worried though...

"Okay coming!!!" I called back to her picking up my pace and cautiously looking around for Patrols so I could slip into the back of the dwelling unnoticed.
