After a minute...
I rushed through the now fully bloomed rows of rose bushes and stepped cautiously over piles of insects and flies feeding off a dead rat. I kept my distance from the sunlight so nobody from above would see me enter a place that is forbidden. I reached to the back side and spotted Myra peering over the corner so I quietly rushed to her side to see what she was looking at. I stopped in my tracks...oh my god! The words never left my mouth because I was so shocked.
"Myra who is this?" I whispered in her ear while I looked over the body lying limply over a pile of dead leaves. The body was a girl I recognized from somewhere..."Sasha!" I whispered hoarsely trying to keep my voice low. Her face was scarred; a big slash on her right cheek; very bloody and dirty. Her complexion was very pallid and several wounds covered her body. "Myra we have to do something!" I said while she hurried over to Sasha.
"Alisha I think this is not Sasha... she doesn't have those grey-black eyes! Their so peircing green! Almost as bright as your blue ones..."
"Myra I have a bad feeling about this...let's go and call the inspectors and let them handle it," I advised.
"No, we have to do this ourselves! Sasha, or whoever she is, might do the same thing to us like she did to this poor girl. Please I don't want to get in trouble like this girl got in and even if she doesn't threaten turning us into that," she said pointing to the corpse, "then I still don't want to take any chances.
"Okay, fine I guess it makes sense to not take chances," I agreed even though was still hesitant about not telling anyone. I will warn Dianna when she crosses our path on the tram after dance class. I told this to Myra and she agrees to warn her when Sasha isn't around. Ugh, another thing to do. I wondered when everything wiould be back to normal.
"Until then we have to get to dance class! Come on we should've left 15 minutes ago!" Myra was already rushing to the front of my dwelling and I followed glancing back at the corpse. The electric green eyes looked up at me and I thought she blinked... but I had been seeing things, so I took it as nothing. I kept going, the place gave me the creeps even though when you were out of the shadows the garden was beautiful. The fact it looked so deserted, though, was probably what made my spine tingle. How can such beautiful things make your spine tingle?
This beautiful, yet eerie place, my best friend turning into a brat, the odd eyesight I acquired, so many mysteries to solve.
Plus Sasha...
And her once green eyes...
