The next day...
The morning birds started to sing their beautiful songs and I woke up to a mesmerizing sight; my room looked like heaven. The golden aura made me so light and delicate that I absolutely did not want to get up. I looked around my room and noticed that through the window, it was...raining. What in the name of... I never got to finish that thought because when I turned my head again, the green-eyed girl came walking towards me with a sort of glow radiating off of her.
"Good morning Alisha! I hope I haven't disturbed your precious sleep, have I?" She questioned me looking at me right in the eye with her own crystal green eyes.
"What...I mean no...but...who are you?" I stuttered in awe of her pretty, glowing face and healed scars.
"Ah, yes, I must introduce myself to you, I am Tasha, unfortunately the twin of Sasha, who you must know by now." She continued without leaving me a gap to ask questions that were whirling around in my head. "Before you ask me those many questions in your mind, I must warn you that you should be prepared for what I am about to tell you. You might not believe me but I have no other way to tell something this important, so you must abide by me in order to reduce your questions. Please listen as you might be the only one right now who has the power around this area to help me. I have very little time left before I go, so you must also listen and act very quickly." What was this mad girl talking about? Why am I so important? What do I have to do? Does this have to do with Sasha? What is she going to tell me? I had to listen to find out because for some reason I couldn't speak. And then she poured her whole story on me....
So as it turns out she says she is an angel, explaining the light coming off of her, and her twin, Sasha, is a demon, that I was half angel and half human and we were all part of "The Shadow World". I automatically thought she was talking trash, but she proved herself by showing me her powers. She controlled the stuff in my room, shined light so bright that I thought that she placed the sun directly in front of me, and she summoned a demon, banished it with a dagger and let the black smoke disappear into thin air. The demon had just looked at me and my whole body went frigid because of its hideous face, but it also cowered for no apparent reason until Tasha, my new angelic friend, explained that to me too. She told me that I was nephilim, the half angel-half human being, and so they all had this thing where they gave off this energy that made demons shiver. It was cool but I was still in a daze trying to make sense of what was happening . Despite my obvious tiredness, Tasha continued, I was half listening as her story dragged on and on. ***** Once again I was in a state of shock and slammed myself down on my bed trying to get a break from what this angel-Tasha- was explaining to me. I didn't want to believe it but deep down I believed her and I couldn't ignore the proof that she was giving me.
"Alisha! Are you listening! I know this is all very abrupt but even I am in trouble! Please pay attention!" Tasha boomed pulling me out of my short period of oblivion.
"I'm so sorry...please repeat what you said. I am trying to help it's just that there is a lot going on in my head right now. I apologize though...ugh" I ended with a sigh that sounded very frivolous to Tasha, but I was annoyed and just frustrated so that's why it probably sounded like something out of a telescreen show. So many intense feeling and thoughts swirled around everywhere. And I used to wonder how exciting it would be to find out something interesting about myself, and look how exciting this turned out to be.
"It's okay I understand, but let me continue...So, as I was saying, Sasha is a demon and the reason I had a slash on me last night was because Sasha had come to the mortal world to have fun with you mundanes, a term we use for humans, and I had fought her to stop, but she didn't have mercy on her mind for me. Now, she has made me weak by her demonic and necromancy activities and I can only stay here for so long. She is planning something big, something that will wipe out all innocent souls from your county. Then when she gets some possessed bodies behind her, she can move forward to making an army," Tasha spoke in a low, spooky tone as if she was reciting a haunting tale from heart, except what she was talking about sounded like no tale I had ever heard and she was also talking about something real and actually very scary. She left no more time for me to ask what Sasha was aiming to accomplish with an army, instead she answered my question, but made it even worse than I had thought. "Sasha is planning to acquire an army so big that it will kill all the nephilim out there and most likely weaken every angel there is that is willing to help. She is Lilith's daughter so she has much more power than other demons and if Lilith starts to win, then there is no turning back for her. Lilith is ordering all her children and allies to join hands and that is why she has given Sasha so much power. When she succeeds in capturing your society and making it hers, she will release Hell on earth so it can burn, burn until forever ends. She is so ruthless and disgusting that I have heard that she plans to cut off one body part at a time when a human disobeys her. Sasha is probably looking for the right time to begin her mother's plan but we will stop her before she does!" Tasha said with confidence I was having a hard time believing in.
"How do you expect me to defeat her? She is much more trained than I am, I have absolutely no practice in killing a human, forget a full fledged demon!" I said with disbelief that Tasha had really come to me for this.
"Oh my, my you have the wrong idea, pardon me for not making myself more clear! Sasha is not any more trained than you are! She has only weakened me by the help of her retched mother, not at all by herself. She is only a mere demon who wants to prove she is better than all. Also, you are the only nephilim around here who at least is old enough to have the courage to fight. Trust me, your nephilim instinct will serve you enough training and I do not expect you to fight now. We must prepare until we are sure of her moves and can positively say you are able to defeat her." Tasha was looking out at the gloomy, dark sky and turned her head with such an air and posture, with her jaw firmly set and all, that I could've sweared she looked like some mastermind you see on the telescreen when the Entertainment Council felt like exposing you to some bad in the world. All of a sudden my heart was racing and my pulse pumping to the thought of fighting off this evil creature similar to the old criminals we learned about. Maybe this was the "nephilim instinct" Tasha was talking about. I just looked down and nodded because that's all I could think of doing with some part of me saying no to the idea of fighting demons and killing things. When I looked back up, Tasha was nowhere to be seen and with her the glow left my room and I was in the middle of my room, staring at dark shadows. Time for school.
