Monday...
It was a beautiful day and the sun was a golden sliver and the sky was orange and pink, the rest of the city creating unique silhouettes against it. The school was closing down and shops were turning off their lights as I mingled a little with a few new girls and snuck glances at the loud girl gang in the center of the food court, standing aloof from the rest of the school. It was such a perfect day, I could have swear the clouds looked like fluffy cotton candy in some places, but of course no one would let me live in peace! The noisy, annoying group totally ruined the whole mood of my evening and on top of that Dianna was walking my way clicking her new heels hard against the pavement.

"I don't appreciate you talking to my friends" Dianna screamed at me her mouth slim.

" I was just chatting with them, nothing more! Don't worry I'm not going to steal your friends, anyway they're not so nice." I defended myself knowing that she would want a full explanation of my actions; she couldn't trust a person.

" Sure! Ugh! Why do you always do this to me! You're always the one making me angry! You're always the one annoying me, why doesn't Myra ever make me angry?" Dianna was always comparing my and "our" best friend Myra.

" Probably because she doesn't care what you say or do now, if you haven't noticed so far, you haven't been talking to us like we used to! It's always Sasha this, Sasha that! That weird new girl has gotten control over you and orders you around like a dog these days." I hate it when she thinks she owns us because we are supposedly "best friends."

"Excuse me but it is my life and I can do what ever I want to do, if I thinl Sasha is worth listening to then I can listen to her. You and Myra are always hanging out without me so I don't see a problem in hanging out with a friend who understands me, can talk to me without instigating a fight, and doesn't steal my friends! And Sasha doesn't do all that!" Her eyes were glaring at me and I just wished she could've seen her face then, because face was crumpled like trash and her smudged make up didn't help. Even though Dianna thinks she is so pretty, in my opinion the lunch lady looks nicer, at least she doesn't have such a overly ornate dress style! It was hard to keep up with my thoughts about how she was such an idiot and about the fight so I decided to try to end it...

"Well one day you'll see who's a better friend and you will come running back! And don't forget Myra and I meet up because we have Physical Arts together, if we don't practice then how are we going to get a signature from Mrs. De' Dance!" Mrs. De'Dance was the dance teacher, obviously, and we had been practicing hip hop routines for so long so we could apply for volunteers at the D.A.N.C.E: Dance And National Choreography Enterprise. It was Dianna's choice not to join us so I don't get why she has a problem now!

" Every time you guys meet up, you get to socialize and I'm left alone so I found Sasha to replace your existence! You guys don't even deserve to get into D.A.N.C.E, you guys do so horrible every year anyway! Dance shouldn't even be counted as a career, it's a waste of time and money! You think I actually supported you in your disgusting dance gigs! Puh-lease, I just went along because no one else said anything and I thought you would put dance second and friends first! I hated your dancing from day one! Alisha honey, you have got a long way to go in life don't waste it on this! Actually I don't even care, go do what you want with your life!" She spat the words out like poison and I was aghast at her churlish remarks.

I couldn't believe how audacious she was acting when there could be officials patrolling so close around Y.J.H.D St. and the Patrolls here probably got their salary from the events D.A.N.C.E does every 3 months so she would get in huge trouble. I don't even know why Dianna is here in our district because if she hasn't noticed our society is all about dance! She was a real offense to the Officials of our district. She used to be the one cheering so loudly for me when I did my solos and I was always seeing her praising me in the crowd...but that could've also been for popularity...I could go to the Council and reveal her greediness, but that would make everything even worse. In addition to Dianna's foul talk about dance we were one day going to get revealed for socializing after school, behind our school, A.B.C.D (Anybody Can Dance) Middle School. And to think she hates dancing when she herself is enrolled in our school dedicated to the art of dancing. It is the year 2048 and some people still didn't acquire common sense.

Then Sasha came around the corner to the alley where Myra, Dianna and I usually meet up. How did she find about our secret meeting place? Dianna probably told her, but how dare she share secrets with the new girl, she doesn't even know her yet! I thought.

"So, I can see that you finally have shown your true self to these nasty creatures, Dianna! Do feel better letting your secrets go, sweetheart? I hope you do because one way or the other I won't let you meet them in this filthy place, or at all!" They both turned on their heels and Sasha gave me her devilish grin.

"Buh...wait...wha...but I thought.." The words slurred out of my mouth and I could feel a dark black cloud swirling inside of me, all those kind words and cheers she made for Myra and me, were fake! The realization made me nauseous and Myra took my hand and held it tight, at least I knew she was there for me.

"Yes, what does your pathetic self have to say now?" Sasha mocked me while turning back around and flipping her dirty blonde hair.

"Alisha, don't worry, just let your worries go and keep moving on," Myra reassured me in my ear. Myra was never close to Dianna as much as I was and never saw the lovely girl Dianna used to be so it was easy for Myra to ignore Dianna and move on. For me it was a huge secret that just crushed my ego. Dianna, she was fake. Dianna, the friend I loved. Dianna, NEVER was a friend. Dianna, never cared. Why Dianna?!
