Kailyn

I've been droning through the last few days; wake up, eat, work, shower, eat, sleep, repeat. I haven't told anyone about what Takeshi and I had done after the race, it's too embarrassing. Every time I think about it my cheeks burn, 'I can hardly believe I-,' I feel the heat gather in my face, thankful that I am currently under a car at the moment. I resume my inspection of the underbelly of the current car at my station, "How's it looking?" I hear the question come from Akio, "All good," I roll myself back out, where I see Akio extending a hand to help me up, "How you doing?" He asks and I give a questioning look, since I've been working with him all morning, "The last two and a half days you've been working on autopilot dude," he specifies, "Just want to make sure everything is alright," he puts his hands into his pockets waiting on a reply.

I am quick to move things around on my cart, "Yeah, everything's fine," I try to not think about the weekend, "Oh really," he steps to the other side of my cart, straightening his back to seem taller as he looks down at me, even though he only has about two inches on me. I take a deep breath before glancing up to him, "Yes," I lean on the workstation, holding his stare until he finally gives up with a shrug, "Fine, don't tell me," he gives an exaggerated huff while stretching his arms over his head, resting his hands on the back of his neck, to which I smile at, "Are you that board?" My question follows him as he walks away to his empty station, "Gonna tell me what's up?" He peaks over his shoulder, "No," I answer, continuing to search for the tool I needed.

I finish my inspection and move the car to a parking spot outside the garage, I scan over the empty lot, 'It's completely dead,' I get out, locking the car I make my way into the front of the shop. The bell jingles, grabbing the attention of Sara who quickly goes back to scrolling on her phone. Once I make it to a computer I enter in a bit of information, stating that I have concluded the work on the car that was assigned to me. When I finish, I slide the keys into an envelope with the paperwork and set it at Saras station, "Ready for you," I tell her, she gives a nod, "Thanks," and precedes to look over the information as I walk away.

Not having anything to do I make my way to the breakroom, finding Matteo and Kaito both playing on their phones, "Did you leave Akio by himself?" Kaito asks, I nod slipping into the free chair across from them. Following suit of getting on my phone, I open the messages between Takeshi and I:

          Takeshi;

                     ~'I had a really fun time last night, thank you for inviting me'~

                    ~'I'm glad you enjoyed it, I did too'~

                    ~'Though I bet we both could have done without the impromptu battle'~

                    ~'Haha yea, that was a bit nerve racking to say the least'~

                    ~'Hopefully next time we go out, it won't involve racing halfway up a mountain'~

                    ~'Yes, definitely, I would like to keep my heart inside of my chest'~

___

                    ~'Have a good week a work'~

                    ~'Thanks, you too 😊'~

We haven't really spoken since then, but I can definitely take his messages as he wants to hang out again, 'Right?' I shake of the doubt, 'It for sure means he wants to hang out again,' but we still haven't talked about what the kiss meant, what all the kisses meant. I lay my head on my arm to shield my blush from the others, as I contemplate messaging him or not.
