Kailyn
Classes went by rather quickly and I was just about to start my journey to the shop, when I remember, I am supposed to text Takeshi about what time I'd be there, pulling my phone from my back pocket, I scroll through my contacts until I see his name, tapping on it I choose the texting option. I start typing out a few words before deleting it, repeating this process more times than was necessary, I close my eyes and take a deep breath, trying to calm my nerves as I was getting flustered over a text message. I look back to my phone, {Hey, it's Kailyn from the shop. I will be there about 3pm today.} Before I can over think it again, I hit send, Everything is fine, I lock my phone and as I am about to return it to my pocket it buzzes, bring it back to see who it is, I feel my face heat as I read the name. [Takeshi Nakazato] I stare at his name until the screen goes black, "What's that face for, huh?" I jump at the voice and jerk my head to where it came from, it was Daichi, he is standing there giving a quizzical look with a smirk, making my face heat more, "I-it, it's no-nothing," I say trying to hide my face. He lets out a laugh, "Yeah right," he slips his arm over my shoulder, "There's no way it's nothing," he begins poking my arm, still laughing. I push my lips together thinking of how to play it off, "It- it's just a think at work," I tell him, it's not a lie, it does have to do with work, and I try to wiggle out of his grip, "Sure, sure 'work,'" he mocks letting go of me, still seeming amused, I glance down at my phone to read what he said, ~'Great I'll swing by after work around 4/5,'~ I am about to unlock the phone when it gets snatched from my hand.
"Oh, who's Takeshi?" Daichi says with a devilish grin, "Gi-give it back," I tried reaching for it, "Its re- really work," I plea as he keeps my phone from me, reading the message, "Oh, really, cause this sounds like a date to me," he teases making my body heat in frustration as I try taking it back and he just spins keeping me at bay. I trip on the uneven ground below us as my focus was on my personal property that had been taken, I let out a groan as I hit the ground harder then I thought I would, "Are you okay?" Daichi kneels next to me, I give a small nod as I pull my stinging hands up to look at the roughly torn skin from the gravel beneath us. Daichi takes my hands to look at them himself, "I- I'm sorry, I didn't mean to," his smile has now been replaced with a look of concern, "Here, let's rinse them," he helps me up, looking at a nearby water fountain. The water made me flinch as Daichi was trying to gently yet thoroughly clean the rugged openings on my hands, rinsing away the blood before it had a chance to stain the pale, yet pink from the injury, flesh. He held my hands in the running water longer then he needed to, staring at them with a deep frown, he seems sad, I let out a small cough and it seems to snap him out of whatever trance he was in, releasing his grip and turning to face me, "I have bandages in my bag," he says as he drops his pack and rummages through its contents. I shake the water off my hands before running them down my pants to get the excess moisture off, while watching my older friend start to panic when he can't find what he thought he had, "Other pocket," I tell him, knowing that is where he keeps his tape and bandages for archery.
As Daichi, in my opinion, excessively wraps up the palms of my hands I can feel a throb in my knee, knowing that the man will freak out all over again if he finds out, I pray he doesn't notice, and hope that blood doesn't seep through my pants. After he was done, he steps back, "That should do the trick," He says while putting on an obviously force smile, He's generous I'll give him that, I look up to him, "I would have been fine without any of this, ya know," I give him a smile, this seems to make him feel better, "Again, sorry," he says scratching the back of his head, holding out my phone for me to take, "I can give you a ride to work if you want," he offers, "On your bike?" I ask nervously, he shakes his head, "No I took my car today, I'm tweaking the bike right now," He says glad to be on a different topic, "Plus I wouldn't have offered if I had it," he says knowing of my fear of motorcycles, releasing a breath I didn't realize I started holding I nod, "Sure, that'd be nice," I tell him, ignoring the pain in my knee, "I'll need the address," He says as I'm looking at my phone, to the message from Takeshi, debating if I should reply or not, I mean it wouldn't be necessary to reply, but I don't know if it would be weird to, I think to myself, "Um yea it's..." I tell him the location of the shop. Deciding on a reply, I look back up to walk in line with Daichi on our way to his car.
