I made my mind up to attend Can's meet and greet in Portugal for New Year's Eve. It was a decision that I made impulsively but will never regret.
It was a beautiful event in every way. I got to talk to him about my stories here and all of you, how he inspired me to write and he was amazed that I wrote a story inspired by him. He asked me twice to confirm that I had written it. It was a beautiful encounter. He was even more amazed that I came all the way from the US to meet him. I had him sign a copy for me and gave him a copy that he readily said he would read. His friend and bodyguard, Robi, that we all know from following him was smiling and seemed surprised about the book.
I told him about his many fans in the US and how much we would love to have him there as well to which he said he didn't know he was known much here.
I got a hug and a warm smile and it was just everything!
