MISA LET OUT A SIGH, her fingers deftly weaving the strands of silky white hair into a sleek half-updo braid, forming an elegant crown.

"I've heard rumors about the demon appearances declining," she murmured, placing a few white lilies into her lady's hair, "It's a relief to hear that especially after what happened in this entertainment district a few months ago..."

She trailed off before stepping back.

"But do you really have to go," The woman pouted, "Asuna?"

Said woman turned her head, her bubblegum eyes looking at her reflection in approval. Her lips were glossy and her eyes were accentuated by her elegantly curled lashes. With soft waves, her snowy hair cascaded down her shoulders, with a beautiful half-up braided at the crown of her head.

"Yes," the demoness hummed, "There are many things brewing and the pot is soon to overflow."

"Eh? Br-brewing..? Pot? What do you mean by overflow—"

"I have an important meeting," she answered swiftly, noticing how the human stiffened at her cold response before softening her voice, "I appreciate your concern but it is imperative I leave now. If you would, please excuse me."

"Ah-right!" She chirped, backing away with a blush on her face, "Stay safe, my lady!"

She bowed one last time before scurrying out of the room.

Asuna once again turned her head to the mirror, a gentle wind breezing past her. She turned her head to the open window, a sort of chill going down her spine as she pondered her next actions.

"That demon girl— Nezuko has conquered the Sun," she whispered to herself, "While I was betting on a change, I wasn't expecting this."

She looked down at her reflection, rosy eyes flashing to their scarlet ones as she fought to keep her composure.

"Father will certainly seize this opportunity," she muttered, "I won't be the only one with immunity to use against him..."

As the memories of Tanjiro and Nezuko flooded her mind, she noticed the mirror in front of her begin to crack. Pursing her lips, she turned to the window and, without a word, she jumped out.

Her sandals hit the top of the roof, albeit silently, as she quickly sprinted off towards the front of the district. Once there, she leaped off the roof and continued her way down the dirt path, footsteps softly padding against the earth.

The air around her was vibrating and her scarlet eyes were beginning to take over from the sheer excitement in her body. With her styled hair fluttering behind her, she finally reached a clearing.

In the center was a small lake, clear and glistening as it reflected the moonlight streaming down at it. She knelt down, observing the way her eyes glowed from her excitement.
