Chapter 9: Where has the baby gone!?

Meanwhile in 17carats cafe:

As Dk handed the Azure's feather to Mingyu, he sensed a shift in the atmosphere and suddenly a baby appeared out of nowhere.

There he was, the notorious lil baby that drove the heck out of a lot of people crazy on just one night, uri boo!

When their eyes met, A mixture of emotions surged within Dk, emotions he couldn't even comprehend- shock, surprise, relief, nervousness, anxiety, happiness.....as he slowly reached out to baby Seungkwan that was sitting on their table, looking around curiously, his eyes flitting curiously to the new surrounding and the food besides him, especially a cup of his fav Americano. The smell of coffee hung in the air and it made his mouth water.

"Seungk-" Dk almost blurted out Seungkwan's name before noticing Mingyu's surprised face and corrected himself by saying, " gie" at the end, making it sound like 'Seungie'.

" Seungie? Do you know this lil kid, Dokyeoma?" Mingyu asked, still surprised.

Lil Seungkwan grabbed the Americano cup and spilled its contents. It then tried to lick the contents off the cup and the table.

" Ah wai-wait wait! Don't lick that. That's dirty." Dk gently but quickly moved him away from the table and into his arms.

Iil Seungkwan then started to whimper as his lips quivered and his eyes glistened. Dk then panicked because the first time he and Hoshi made baby Seungkwan upset, he literally teleported away from their sight.

He immediately started humming and rocking lil Seungkwan in his arms, trying to console him," Awww who made our lil tangerine mad, Huh? I'll punish those people!"

" Wha-What's going on? Who is this baby?" Mingyu asked confused.

Lil Seungkwan's eyes were slightly watery as his lips quivered. He then sucked his thumb.

Dk ignored Mingyu's questions and focused on Seungkwan instead.

" Awww, is our lil kwannie hungwy?"

Kwannie?? Mingyu wondered if he heard that right but before  he could think further his thoughts were distracted when he saw Dk doing something stupid.

Dk was trying to feed a big spoonful of Crème brûlée to lil Seungkwan!

Mingyu then immediately stopped him.

" Wait! this might not be good for a baby. Besides, that's too big of a proportion, you idiot!", Mingyu huffed.

" Well the baby's hungry and he's about to cry! Do something before he disapp- i mean cries badly!" Dk cried.

" Calm down, geez you're scaring the baby." Mingyu gently chided.

Mingyu then held out his hand to baby Seungkwan. However the baby refused and pushed his tiny head into Dk's shoulder further.

The sight was so soft and sweet, both Mingyu and Dk felt like they melted.

Mingyu then took a took a lil yogurt from his sponge cake with his spoon and showed it to lil Seungkwan.

" Here, buddy. You can eat this. Its healthy and good." Mingyu smiled.

Lil Seungkwan turned his head slightly and looked up from Dk's shoulder. He hesitated a bit, perhaps contemplating before pulling himself a lil forward to take a nibble of the white cream of yogurt.

He then tasted the yogurt and slightly made a face at the tanginess of the yogurt but he must have liked it because he pulled at the spoon Mingyu was holding to finish the rest off.
