Chapter 14: Helping Hand

"The kid has a strange affinity to Dungeons."

Minghao looked quizzically at Jeonghan.

" I'm sure you've sensed it as well."

Minghao turned to Lil Seungkwan who was now tugging the rims of his silken coat to catch his attention.

" I mean, you don't even like Humans. You hate them and you've killed countless of them. Without. blinking an eye. You are what humans term a 'Misogynist'. But now, Look at you, you're literally entertaining a human baby! Isn't that ironic?"

Minghao only kept silent at that. He wasn't annoyed by the lil human tugging at his coat with lil doe eyes that seemed to hypnotise him, rather he felt at ease and even better, smiling at the sweet baby.

" I see that this kid's special. You do have an eye for special things." Minghao quietly remarked as he gently ruffled lil Seungkwan's hair.

" Well i do. That's why i noticed you."

Minghao's smile quickly fell at that as he sent a glare to Jeonghan.

" Ok,Ok...you don't like me flirting. But i couldn't help it. You're literally a fairy!"

Minghao couldn't even argue to that because he was a winged elf aka a fairy so he just rolled his eyes.

" So what's it about this kid having a strange affinity to dungeons?" He turned to Jeonghan, changing the subject.

" Let's go to my den, hmm?" Jeonghan turned to Dk, ignoring Minghao's question.

" I can help you. With the curse, i mean. Teleportation skills,A+ rank...i can only think of one person with cute chubby cheeks like this one," Jeonghan addressed to lil Seungkwan," My baby brother's idol, Boo Seungkwan."

Dk looked visibly shocked at that.

Ho-How could he!? Is he a psychometric?

He has been shocked more times today than his entire life, he thinks.

" I'm guessing his older brother doesn't know?" Jeonghan raised a brow, " of course he doesn't! He's inside a dungeon on a raid right now." He quipped, referring to Choi Seungcheol.

Jeonghan smiled," But how long until he comes back?"

He tilted his head with an innocent look after dropping a bomb to Dk.

Dk must have held his breath because his face seemed to redden and sweats rolled down in beads along his forehead.

Poor Dk. He blacked out.

Must have been the stress...

It was Jeonghan who knocked him out cold.

Dk woke up in a luxurious room with glass walls overlooking the brilliant night view of the city.

He was on a large white couch. The couch was big enough to sleep on. It was soft and comfy. In front of him was a large glass separating the room from the nightview outside.

He sat up slowly and looked around. Lil Seungkwan was no longer with him.

" You're finally awake."

It was Jeonghan.

He was in a blue shirt, two buttons down with no tie and black pants.

His hair was slightly disheveled and he looked a lil tired.

" You've got quite the energetic kid, nephew, friend... whatever that lil kid is to you."

He then poured himself a glass of shimmering aged whiskey before pouring another glass as well and offered it to Dk.

" It's from the same bottle. You don't need to think carefully." Jeonghan smirked.

Dk warily took the glass. He watched keenly as Jeonghan took a sip from his glass.

He took in the strong smell of the intoxicating alcoholic drink before taking a sip.

" It's poisoned."

Dk immediately spat it out.

Jeonghan threw his head in laughter at Dk's wild reactions.

" I-"Jeonghan heaved in laughter," was just messing with you! Y-You should have seen your face!"

Jeonghan clutched his stomach in laughter.

Dk however didn't find it funny. He looked offended, to say the least.

He seriously wanted to punch Jeonghan fr. He's been feeling on the edge the entire day and Jeonghan's presence was just making it worse.

" Why'd you brought me here?" He glared at Jeonghan.

" Relax, I'm not gonna bite you. I mean, if i wanted to, i would have killed you the moment we met."

Dk however, didn't drop his glare.

" Tch-Fine. I guess i made you angry. Here, i swear on my own head I won't pull such tricks again." Jeonghan put a hand on his head as he swore half-heartedly.

" Anyways i brought you here because I wanted to help you." Jeonghan started.

"Don't worry, I'm not trying to be kind, in case it's rubbing you the wrong way. I have some favors i need from you or specifically Seungkwan. But he's in no condition to decide so I'm consulting the one who seems close to being his guardian or caretaker as of the moment."

" What favor do you need from him?"

" It's simple. A private concert and...let's see, ah yes! A one-time Teleportation somewhere...sort of help me teleport there, i guess?"

Dk narrowed his eyes at that.

The favors sounded simple, yet suspicious. He couldn't quite put a finger to it but he felt there might be more to it.

" That's it?"

" Yep!" Jeonghan beamed at a skeptical Dk.

" In exchange for helping me undo the curse?"

" Yes! You got the picture. You're not so dumb than I thought except, maybe a little." Jeonghan giggled to himself.

Dk almost wanted to scoff at that but he had to admit that he wasn't the smartest in his small circle of friends.

" Ok. Let's get down to work." Jeonghan said as he plopped down the couch besides Dk and summoned a notepad with a pen in his hands.

" Let's start to figure out the cause first. I need notes, clues, when did it happen, where, how- everything!" Jeonghan said enthusiastically.

However Dk wasn't paying attention to him," where's he?"

" My sweetheart? He's probably in the room nextdoor with your lil cutie,Seungie." Jeonghan smiled as he pointed out the fake name.

" I wasn't referr-(sigh*) I need to see him first." Dk then stood up.

" Suit yourself. He's in the room to your left. Make it quick though, your lil one doesn't have much time left."

Dk froze in his tracks, he then whipped his body towards Jeonghan.

" Come again?"

" Your lil one doesn't have much time left. So let's get this done with quickly."

Dk's heart sank immediately.

This can't be. What has he done!?
