Chapter 11: Dancing clowns

      
             The living room was filled with silence as Jun sat on the couch with an obvious upset look over losing his lil tangerine cuz of the recklessness of his two friends or their inability to handle a baby well.

Wonwoo looked guilty and concern was etched on his face as he held a hand out to caress Jun's lightly as a sort of comfort and a gesture, showing he was sorry and wants to make up for his mistakes.

Jun understood it well but he was too upset to care.

Joshua broke the silence," we should have put a restraining bracelet on him the moment i arrived."

" And disturb the poor baby in his sleep?" Jun glared at Joshua.

Joshua gulped. Jun looked visibly angry and upset.

Wonwoo sighed.

" If I'd known he could teleport, i would have put a tracker on him." Wonwoo stated lowly.

" Speaking of teleportation, isn't that Seungkwan's speciality?" Wonwoo started again.

" That's true..." Joshua agreed quietly.

Jun seemed to perk up slightly at that, his anger momentarily replaced by intrigue and realisation.

"....Hansol once told me that Seungkwan's teleportation skill is passive." Jun joined in.

" Then the restraining bracelet wouldn't have worked." Wonwoo added again with an unreadable expression on his face.

Joshua nodded at this. He sighed. They should have put a tracker on him! That's when he remembered.

Lee Hajoon!

She was a colleague of Joshua in College. She was notorious for being a nosy hacker who knows every gossip and tidbits.

Apparently she awakened some years ago, around the time Seungkwan awakened, 5 years ago. She got just the skill that suited her hacking skills- i.e of course, hacking but also tracing people or anything as long as she has resources.

But she is notorious for being a snob as well. She works as a freelancer and takes up basically any sort of hacking or tracking job as long as it pays good. And by good, it means a real hefty sum of money.

" I know a friend. She quite the sucker for money but she has the skills. I'll ask her for help. In the meanwhile, can you catch up with Woozi? We can use his help privately to deal with the situation as well, perhaps consult the parents of the baby if we managed to find them and assess his abilities,etc." Joshua stated as he stood up and reached in his pocket for his phone.

Jun scoffed at this.

" You're already thinking quite far, don't ya think? We haven't found my lil tangerine yet!" He spat out.

" Well, we should always look on the brighter side." Joshua gave a smug smile," It's a good tactic especially when we're surrounded or brimming with fire all the time."

Joshua remarked,referring to their work as Hunters working for their country in govt sectors and to Jun's powers as well. Fire attribute hunters or awakeners can be quite the hot heads.

*Jun's attribute is fire. He's a fighter class.

Jun scoffed audibly again.

" Well you do you-"

Before Jun could complete his sentence, he was interrupted by a familiar notification sound of the govt's alert system for dungeon breaks.

The dungeon break was dangerously close by, merely about 5 kms away.
