HER MAJESTY QUEEN CHARLOTTE THE QUEEN MOTHER OF WÜRTTEMBERG, AND THE VISCOUNT BRIDGERTON ARE ENGAGED TO BE MARRIED

His Royal Highness The Prince Regent is delighted to announce the engagement of Her Majesty Queen Charlotte The Queen Mother of Württemberg to the Viscount Bridgerton.

The wedding will take place in the Chapel Royal of St James's Palace, London, in a private ceremony.

Her Majesty Queen Charlotte The Queen Mother of Württemberg and the Viscount Bridgerton became engaged in London yesterday morning. The Viscount has also sought and received the blessing of His Majesty King Wilhelm I of Württemberg, of Her Majesty The Queen and of His Royal Highness The Prince Regent.

Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Prince Regent have approved to grant unto Her Majesty Queen Charlotte The Queen Mother of Württemberg, the style and titular dignity of the Viscountess and Lady Bridgerton. Only after marriage.

As the eldest daughter of the sovereign, Her Majesty would retain the title "Princess Royal" even after marriage, as it is a lifelong, personal title granted by His Majesty King George III.

Therefore, Her Majesty shall henceforth formally be known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte, Viscountess Bridgerton—, yet historically known as Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, Viscountess Bridgerton.

On behalf of the Royal Family, we wish a long, healthy, and happy marriage to the couple.
