Chapter 38: Mephisto vs Raziel Pt. 2

Raziel looked at the now changed Mephisto in shock. In front of him was not the wizard-looking devil, but a hulking figure with a height rivaling his own, covered in bulging muscles and scars all over.

"What the fuck did you do?" Raziel asked in disbelief because Mephisto was holding his spear of holy light like it was nothing.

Raziel looked at the hand holding his light spear and saw that it was covered in a white aura. The hybrid knew that this aura was Touki, an ability mostly found in youkai and sages.

"Let me deliver divine punishment to you for daring to make me retake this form," Mephisto growled, his voice sounding deep and more powerful.

Raziel instinctively felt something dangerous coming, so he released his hold on his light spear and took flight at full speed. It was a good thing, because the spot he was on exploded from a devastating blow filled with Touki.

The hybrid looked at Mephisto, and the form he took looked familiar. Then, it clicked to his horror: the being in front of him was Hajun.

Hajuns are a race of berserker demons that lived in the underworld before Lucifer took over. They went around causing death and destruction wherever they went.

Contrary to what others think, devils are not demons. They are like an artificial cousin of the race created by Lucifer.

In the beginning, Adam, the first man, had a wife called Lilith, who was created from the earth, the same as her husband. She questioned why she had to be beneath Adam even though they were created the same way. God didn't answer the question and just told her to obey.

Lilith didn't like this, so she rebelled against Adam and God, leading her to be expelled from the Garden of Eden. Lucifer later found her and performed many experiments on the female human.

Lilith was later replaced by Eve as Adam's wife. Lucifer made sure to tell her this, and her hatred and rage grew for God and Adam, who abandoned her to the torture that the evil angel called "experiments" on her.

Lucifer experimented with mixing God's perfect being, which he created in his own image, with the blood of demons to corrupt Lilith, and eventually, it worked.

Lilith was transformed into the first devil, Lilith, due to being something like a divine human with godly powers. She transformed into a grotesque form but retained most of her human appearance. With her blood, Lucifer turned himself into a devil, along with his followers.

Then he used Lilith to birth an army of devils by means of science and magic. She was kept in a water tank, and her blood and magic gave birth to the devil race.

Lucifer used his new army to conquer the underworld, eliminating several of the inhabitants or sealing those he couldn't. After the morning star secured his claim to the underworld, he married Lilith, and the rest was history.

Raziel thought that Lucifer had killed or sealed the Hajuns, but apparently, he had converted one into a devil. Here was a being with a magic-resistant body and physical prowess that most gods couldn't match, along with the magic of a devil.
