*Sakura's POV*

My mother pushed me into another room and closed the door behind her. What she didn't know was the there was a small crack in the wall, so I could witness everything.

Three men bursted into the house violently and in a flash-

"Ahhhhh!" My mother screamed in pain as all of the men's weapons, pierced her chest. The blades went right through her body and she fell down, lifelessly. I covered my mouth trying not to make a sound.

Then, one person, whom I haven't seen in over 2 years, whom had abandoned me and my mother had come into the house with a big smirk. "That takes care of that, wrench. Now, where might my lovely daughter be?"

Father...! I looked around the room, tears eyes and looked for an escape route. All I found, was a window. It was small, but worth a try. I carefully backed away, trying not to make noise and then, slowly slid open the window.

I heard footsteps slowly approach the door and I slipped through the window. I ran through the woods, right beside my house and never looked back. I can't go back, I won't go back! I won't even look! I promise I won't!

I thought to myself and continued to run. I tripped on many thing but it never stopped me. I eventually, slowed down. Mother never knew but I was actually, a well trained ninja. I had been learning since I was a little girl. I stopped in the middle of the woods and began to cry.

Mom...! Why would he do this to you...!? What did he gain from this...!? I wish I could have saved you...! Those thoughts echoed through my mind as I cried for a long time.

My eyes were puffy as time passed by and I managed to stop crying. My eyes hurt from crying so much. I looked around and realized it would be dark real soon. I wiped my eyes and walked through the woods. By the time it got dark I was still wandering around in the woods.

I didn't know how to get back to town, I don't know where the next town was. All I knew was, I was homeless and lost.

I heard running water a little farther in front of me. I dashed towards it and found a beautiful waterfall on a cliff. Behind the waterfall was a cave. Maybe I'll stay there tonight. No one would think there was a cave here.

I walked around and into the cave where it was nice and quite. I laid down on the ground and years formed in my eyes again as I remembered my mother's life, being drained out of her body in front of my very eyes.

My father betraying us both. I can't imagine what he would have done if he caught me. I wonder if he is still searching for me... I clenched my fists tightly and I slowly fell asleep.

In the morning I continued to walk. When I finally got out of the woods, I found myself in a town named, Edo.

I stood in front of 'Natsumedo Library'
