By the time we got back to the motel, it was around 5:30 and Dean and I were laughing as we walked into Sam and Dean's room. Sam stood from his table and smiled as he faced us. "How was the ride?" he asked.

"It was fine" I shrugged but continued to smile.

"Yeah" Dean laughed. "We got you dinner" he added and tossed him a container of salad Dean and I got when we went to some fast food place while we got ourselves some tacos. They were good tacos

"Thanks"

"Eat it in the car though. Kayla told me she was heading this way because there's a case in the next state over. That's our next stop" Dean explained as he started to pack up. Sam started to do the same as I shifted in my spot, uncomfortably.

"You going to go get your stuff, Kayla?" Sam asked.

"You guys got this case. I'm going to leave tomorrow morning and find another one. I'm just waiting for the right moment to say goodbye"

That caused Dean to stop what he was doing and look at me. "Why would you say goodbye? You're coming with us" he stated.

"I am?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Well, yeah. I had a nice time today...I like having you around" he admitted with a slightly embarrassed smile.

"And I still need to get to know you better too. You cant just leave when we just met" Sam said.

"You cant just live the way you're living. You need some kind of...adult around to show you the quirks...and you shouldn't have to need to be stealing cars, so...come on, go get your stuff. Meet us back in here in ten minutes" Dean finished and I grinned.

"Kay, I'll be right back" I said and walked out.

I walked to my room, put my brush and my toothbrush into the bag, tossed my clothes in and I threw on a baggy sweatshirt that also fit my curves. I was finally going to be able to sleep while someone else drove through the night...and I was excited about that alone.

Dean's POV

I looked into the rearview mirror again to see Kayla sound asleep in her spot as she seemed perfectly comfortable in the back corner of the Impala. "Dude, that's the tenth time you looked back at her. She isn't going anywhere" Sam spoke up.

"I know...I'm just checking to make sure she's still here and that I'm not just imagining this"

"Nope. You're not just imagining this"

"This is crazy though, right? I was crazy for doing this? For taking her along? This isn't safe for her"

"Dean, you're not crazy for doing this. It'd be worse for her if we didn't take her along. Besides...you want to spend more time with her...it's not crazy" he concluded.

I just sighed and my grip tightened on the steering wheel.

My POV

We pulled up to the 'haunted' house that I told them about and we all piled out and I followed them both around to the back of the Impala. Dean opened the trunk and I rose my eyebrows at the sight of the arsenal in the trunk.

"Okay, the building has three floors, I figured it works out perfectly and we can each get a floor. Just keep your cell phones on walk talkie so we can stay in touch the whole time" I explained.

Sam seemed hesitant to the plan but agreed anyway...Dean was more reluctant.

"Maybe we should all check out each floor together" he suggested.
