Martina, her voice thick with emotion, smiled through her tears and said, "No. I love papa the most!"
It was already midnight when Ava poured Lexy another glass of wine in her condo for the nth time. The dim lighting made the atmosphere feel even more intimate, but Lexy barely noticed—until she realized that Ava was just watching her, her eyes locked on her every movement.
Lexy frowned, swirling the wine in her glass. The warmth in her chest told her she was already tipsy. "Ako lang talaga ang iinom?" she asked, raising a brow.
Ava smirked. "Wag kang mag-alala. Wala akong gagawing masama sa'yo, no!"
Lexy narrowed her eyes. "Parang di naman masama yung binabalak mo."
Ava leaned in slightly, a playful glint in her eyes. "Hindi nga. Baka nga magustuhan mo pa eh."
Lexy chuckled, lifting her glass. "Gusto mong tikman 'tong wine? Masarap," she offered, her voice slightly teasing.
Lexy took a slow sip, letting the rich taste linger on her tongue, her lips glistening from the drink. Ava didn't miss the way Lexy's slightly messy hair framed her flushed face. She was intoxicating.
Before she could stop herself, Ava leaned in, cupped the back of Lexy's head, and captured her lips—tasting the wine straight from her mouth.
Lexy froze, breath hitching. The kiss was brief but deliberate, leaving her stunned. Her heart pounded as Ava pulled back and winked.
"Masarap nga," Ava murmured, her lips curling into a smirk.
Lexy's face turned bright red. "Sa—saan mo natutunan yun?" she stammered, gripping her wine glass tighter.
Ava smirked, leaning back against the couch with an air of confidence. "Secret," she teased. "Bakit? Gusto mong matutunan din?"
Lexy swallowed hard, her heart pounding in her chest. She wasn't sure if it was the wine or Ava's sudden boldness, but her entire body felt warm. "Hindi na! Marunong akong humalik!" she scoffed, looking away, but the heat on her cheeks betrayed her.
Ava chuckled. "Hmm, parang hindi ako convinced."
Lexy shook her head, trying to steady herself. "Lasing ka na yata."
"Ikaw lang naman ang umiinom, 'di ba?" Ava raised a playful brow. "Pero kung gusto mo akong lasingin para ulitin natin 'yon, sabihin mo lang."
Lexy groaned, covering her face with both hands. "Ava, please!"
Ava laughed. "Relax. Just teasing you, Lex."
But Lexy knew better—Ava never did anything without a reason. And now, Lexy wasn't sure if it was the alcohol or something else entirely making her pulse race.
Time Skip
The next morning, Ava and Lexy lay side by side in bed, wide awake yet unmoving. The ceiling had never looked more interesting. Or maybe they were just too stunned to look at each other.
The blanket covered them up to their chests, gripped tightly as if it were the only thing keeping them grounded. Their breaths were still uneven, their bodies still buzzing from their morning activity.
Lexy finally broke the silence. "First time mo?"
Ava swallowed, her voice quieter than usual. "Oo."
They both continued staring at the ceiling.
"Akala mo ikaw lang?" Lexy murmured. "Ako rin kaya."
