It is the morning of a new competition season of dance. I am Maddie and I dance at the ALDC with my sister, Mackenzie. I am part of the Elite Junior Competition team at my studio. Dance to my family is not an after school activity, it is our lives.
I am homeschool. I go to school for about 4-5 hours a day (from 8:30am to about 1pm), then at 1:30pm I go to dance and stay there until 9 or 10pm. I train six to seven days a week and work for a hopeful career in showbiz.
Anyway, today is the first day of competition and our morning is hectic. My mom, Melissa, is trying to get us ready for dance while I try and finish my homework. Today my mom gave us the day off homeschool so we can focus on our start of the season. I quickly finish my last equation and then put a couple more things in my dance bag. I rush my hair and makeup and slip on some dance clothes. Today I wear my Capezio black booty shorts and my ALDC red and black crop. I grab my dance bag and rush out the door after Kenzie.
