NO ONE POV
Jungkook and Namjoon entered Tae's room, and Jin's eyes met Namjoon's. Jin's face had a small smile, and she gazed at Namjoon with longing. It had been a long time since they'd met, and someone had rightly said that patience bears sweet fruit. After all this waiting, Jin and Namjoon would finally be together, just for a little while longer.
Jin's eyes left Namjoon's and fell on her hands. When she looked up, she saw Namjoon gazing at her with loving eyes. Namjoon's face also broke into a smile as he saw Jin shyly look away.
Namjoon sat down beside Jungkook on the sofa, and Jungkook said to namjoon, "Your sister is missing you" Tae smiled and replied, "Just his sister?" Jin glanced at Tae with big, round eyes, and her face turned red with shyness.
Jungkook smiled and said, "Yeah, just his sister." Namjoon also looked embarrassed and said, "Yeah, Tae." Tae looked at his brother and said, "I just wanted to talk to you." Namjoon smiled and said, "So talk."
Jungkook asked, "Were you curious about how you convinced my father-in-law?"
Namjoon smiled and said, "Convincing Papa wasn't that easy." But my love was too strong, so I had to convince him." Tae's curiosity got the better of him, and he asked, "But how?"
Namjoon replied, "When we returned home from here, Papa stopped talking to me, and I got busy with my work."
NAMJOON'S POV.
A week has passed, and I haven't spoken to Jin or seen her. I never thought our love story would end like this. I remember how Jin's sobbing voice still echoes in my mind, and that pain still torments my heart. I just want Jin, but how do I tell Papa? Just then, Mr. Sharma walked into my cabin, and we started discussing work. When I returned home after a long day at work, I found Papa sitting in the hall. I greeted him, and he said, "Look at this," handing me an envelope. I opened it, confused, and found photos of girls inside. I immediately understood what it was for.
I glared at Papa, my anger boiling over, and said, "I won't marry anyone except Jin." I tossed the photos on the table and stormed into my room. I threw my coat on the bed, but it fell to the floor. I stared at it for two minutes before picking it up and placing it back on the bed. I sat down beside it, trying to calm myself.
I took slow, deep breaths and gently hit my face with my hands. After another deep breath, I got up and headed to the bathroom. I took a cold shower to calm down and changed into comfortable clothes. When I returned to my room, I saw Mom picking up my coat and placing it neatly on the table. She must have sensed my presence, and when she turned to look at me, she said, "I brought your dinner here."
I saw the food plate on the side table and told Mom, "Mom, I'm not hungry." But Mom came closer, held my hand, and gently sat me down on the floor beside the bed. She sat on the bed herself, placing the food plate on her lap, and cradled my head, comforting me.
"Beta, don't be angry while eating," Mom said, and when I looked into her eyes, I saw that she was crying. I put the plate on the bed, held her hand, and asked, "Mom, why are you crying?" She held my hand tightly and said, "I don't know what kind of mother I am; I couldn't do anything for my children." I shook my head and said, "Why are you saying this?" She smiled and said, "When Tae wanted to study, I didn't support her, and I got her married. I saw her crying, but I couldn't do anything. Now my other child is unhappy, and I'm helpless again."
After hearing Mom's words, I felt bad and said, "Mom, what are you saying? What could you have done? Tae's marriage was arranged in a good family; she's happy there. Yes, her dreams were shattered, but her life has also been sorted out. And as for me, Mom, it doesn't matter to me if I get married or not. My love for her is so strong that I can live like this for the rest of my life."
Mom cradled my head again and said, "Why do you lie to your mother?" When I heard her say this, a smile spread across my face. Someone had rightly said that mothers know everything, and my mom could tell I was sad just by looking at my face. I rested my head on her lap, and she began to stroke my hair. I said, "Mom, I'm very sad, but I can't do anything, just like you couldn't. But you're with me, and that's all I need."
For some reason, it seemed like my mom was extremely happy after hearing what I said. She smiled and said, "You know, I really like Jin. She's intelligent, educated, and yet, she has such good values. If I get a daughter-in-law like her, my life will be fulfilled."
A smile spread across my face, and my eyes probably lit up after hearing this. I lifted my head from Mom's lap and looked at her, asking, "Really?" Mom smiled back at me and nodded, and just like that, she fed me dinner. At night, Mom said goodnight and left my room. For some reason, talking to Mom made me feel relieved, and I finally got a good night's sleep after many days.
Just like that, two or three days passed, and Papa didn't say anything to me. Maybe he understood that I didn't want to get married. But one day, I received a call from home, and Papa asked me to come home quickly. I hastily packed my files and bags and left my cabin. As soon as I entered my house, I saw four people sitting on the sofa. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion - who were these people? As I approached them, I saw a middle-aged couple and an elderly lady with a girl around my age. I greeted them with a namaste.
Papa said, "This is our son, and from our side, everything is ready. We'll get the kids married next month." My eyes widened in shock, and I felt stunned. I first looked at Papa, then at Mom, who was looking down at the floor. My gaze then shifted to the guests, who were smiling. I dropped my bag and went to my room. I could hear Papa's voice behind me, but I ignored him and closed my room door.
