nessa's pov

javon and i walked hand in hand into his house. his family was sitting at the dinner table. jessica and jayla were bringing out food to the table, as the boys set the plates.

"hey! you guys are back" jayla smiled, her smile grew as she looked down at our hands interlocked.

"nessa!" daelo smiled running to me, i gave him the biggest hug. "great game, daelo!" i smiled. i looked at jaden, he seemed mad? i thought he would be happy that javon and i worked everything out.

"come on kids dinner's ready!" dj said bringing in the barbecue ribs he grilled out back.

"nessa good to see you" he said, "hi honey" jessica smiled. we all sat down and took a bit of everything.

"so sweetie, how was filming?" jessica smiled, "it was amazing! i got to see my best friend xolo which was nice. i'm super bummed the show is ending" i said.

"i'm glad you had a nice time. i can't wait to watch the new season!" daelo cheered, "aw thanks daelo" i smiled. "when do you film for outerbanks?" jayla asked, "not for a few months" i replied eating my food.

"so" jaden said, he paused looking at us. "when did this start again?" he asked taking a bite of his rib. "well, we uh talked about everything and everything worked out" i said.

"got rid of coco that fast?" he asked, "coco and i aren't even dating" javon scoffed. "she likes you a lot" jaden said, "well, you'll probably kiss her anyway" javon snapped.

"javon seriously?" jayla groaned, "you guys need to work this shit out already" she said, "what's going on? did i miss something?" i asked.

"all they fucking so now is bicker at each other. ever since you and jaden-" jayla cut herself off, not wanting to start anymore drama.

"ever since jaden fucking kissed my girlfriend!" javon said angrily. "for the last fucking time she kissed me" jaden groaned.

"but you like her" javon said, the table got silent and i stopped eating. "what" i said, "i heard you and jayla talking about it! jaden. you said nessa kissed you and you only pushed her away because you didn't want to stop. you like my fucking girlfriend" javon said angrily.

"daelo honey you can go eat in your room, only for tonight. bring your plate out when you're done please" jessica said. daelo smiled happily and ran off to his room.

"you need to work this out now" dj said sternly. jessica and dj took their food outside to the patio.

"why are even bringing this up?" jayla asked, "javon you have nessa. why can't you just be happy?" she asked. "how can i be happy knowing that my own brother likes my girlfriend?" javon asked.

"i don't like her!" jaden said, "jaden, come on! i heard you talk about her. you and jayla and your stupid secret meetings. you think i couldn't hear you?" he asked.

"javon.." i said, "i don't know what's going on. but i don't like jaden like that. he's just my best friend. i love you and we just worked everything out?" i said.

"javon, don't fuck up something good" jaden warned. "she clearly went back to you because she loves you. just stop this. let it go. vanessa and i are just friends. nothing more" jaden explained.

"you know what? i have to go home" i said grabbing my things. i rushed out the door so fast.

"nessa! wait!" javon said, "i'm not in the mood" i said. "please i'm sorry, okay?" he raised, "you're never gonna let it go. do you trust me?" i asked.

"what?" javon asked, "do you trust me?" i asked again. he stared at me, "of course i do" he said. "then trust me when i say i don't love jaden, i love you so much and i just wan to be with you. can we just move past this?" i asked.

"come on, i'll drive you home" javon said taking his keys out. he opened the car door for me and i got in the passenger seat. "thank you" i smiled.

"ice cream run?" he asked, "of course" i smiled. javon and i held hands as he drove down to town. "i'm so happy to be with you right now" javon smiled.

"me too j, you make me feel so safe" i smiled and kissed his knuckles. "thank you for loving me" i said.

"i will always love you" he said.

"can i get mint chocolate chip please?" "i'll take rocky road please" javon said. the cashier gave us our ice cream and javon paid for us.

"thank you" i smiled kissing his cheek, "this is so good" i said. "my mom is working a late shift. do you think you could stay with me?" i asked.

"of course. i'll text my mom" javon said, "this is nice" i said.

javon and i sat for a while talking about everything. he made it clear that he wants me to stay away from jaden for now. he doesn't trust him.

it kills to know that javon doesn't trust his own brother because of something i did. but for respect for him, i agreed.

things are finally getting back to normal i don't want to screw it up.

javon and i got back in his car and made it to my house. i gave him some clothes to sleep and i changed into comfortable pajamas.

"goodnight, my love" he said kissing my forehead. "goodnight" i mumbled so tired from the day we had.

sooo i just finished rewatching tsitp for like the 20th time. this chapter was definitely kinda of inspired by connie baby and jeremiah <3
