I decided enough was enough. Michael's grudge against Zara was tearing her apart. Every time I saw her crying quietly in the corner, trying to be strong while drowning in guilt, my heart broke a little more. Zara was his baby sister. His world. I knew he was furious, but this hatred wasn't just hurting me—it was killing her. And I couldn't stand by and let her spiral any further.
Between the fallout with Arya, the endless scrutiny from the media, and even her so-called fans turning toxic, Zara was carrying too much. Michael's rejection was the final blow, and I refused to let this rift go unchallenged. If Michael wanted to hate someone, he could hate me. But I wasn't going to let him destroy Zara in the process.
So, I went to his house.
The driveway was packed, cars lined up like it was a casual hangout day with the boys. As I stepped through the front door, loud laughter and the smell of food hit me. The guys—our crew—were all gathered, beers in hand, watching some game on the massive TV.
"Divine!" they greeted, clearly unaware of the brewing storm.
"Yo, what happened to your face?" Fireboy asked, pointing at my black eye and split lip. A few of them murmured similar questions, their faces shifting between concern and curiosity.
"Fight with a bear?" someone joked.
"Something like that," I muttered, brushing past them, my eyes scanning the room for Michael.
He was in the corner, beer in hand, leaning back against the couch like he didn't have a care in the world. The sight of him laughing with the guys, acting as if the world hadn't just imploded, sent a wave of anger surging through me.
"Michael!" I barked, cutting through the chatter.
The room went silent. Every head turned to me, the tension suddenly palpable.
Michael's eyes darkened the moment he saw me. His laughter faded, replaced by a scowl. "What the fuck are you doing here?" he growled, setting his beer down.
"We need to talk," I said, my voice firm. "Now."
"I got nothing to say to you," he snapped, standing up.
"Well, I've got plenty to say to you," I shot back. "So we're doing this."
The guys exchanged uneasy glances, clearly sensing the hostility.
"Yo, what's going on?" Fireboy asked, stepping between us.
"None of your business," Michael said sharply, his eyes never leaving mine.
I ignored Fireboy and pushed forward, stepping right into Michael's space. "You think this is just about me, huh? You're pissed at me, fine. But you're hurting her, Michael. Zara is breaking down because of you."
"Don't you dare bring her into this," Michael snapped, his voice rising.
"She's already in this!" I yelled back. "She's your sister, man. Your sister. And you've made her feel like she doesn't even exist to you anymore. Do you even know what that's doing to her?"
Michael's jaw tightened, his fists clenching at his sides. "You don't get to stand here and lecture me about my sister. You're the one who crossed the fucking line, Divine. You betrayed me."
"I betrayed you?" I laughed bitterly. "You're so caught up in your own ego that you can't see past your own nose. This isn't about betrayal. It's about love. I love her, Michael. And she loves me. We didn't do this to hurt you."
"You didn't do this to hurt me?" Michael shouted, stepping closer. "You went behind my back for months, sneaking around, lying—and you didn't do this to hurt me?"
