"NO," I SAID ABRUPTLY. Does he think really think that I am going to be an accomplice in that?

Heck no. Nada. Zero chance.

He sighed pitifully, "Look, I don't want to do this either but I have to, kind of."

"Ash or whatever your name was, you don't have to resort to cheating," I said helpfully. "There is still a week before the exams; I am sure I can tutor you —"

"Its not me," He huffed out. "I don't need them. I am doing this for someone else."

I blinked. Someone else?

This guy wanted to sneak in the school so that he can get the questions for someone else? I would not do it for Dawn for a hundred bucks and she was my sister.

"Who?"

He hesitated, shifting from one foot to another. "I, I don't think I should tell you that."

"Oh come one," I rolled my eyes at him. "Shouldn't I know who I am helping, if at all I help?"

"If at all I help? What does that mean? We made a deal. You have to help me." Ash narrowed his eyes questioningly.

"You never said you will take me on a suicide mission!" I said, exasperated.

I was a top grade student with a near flawless academic record. I had high hopes and dreams for myself and this one thing could ruin it all.

"We won't get caught," he argued. "I will make sure of that."

"Why me? You can ask any of your other friends." I shook my head.

He stared at me blankly. "They are dumbasses."

Such sweet words

"And they won't help me because they don't get along with the person I am doing it for," He added.

"And this person is?" I probed again. If I was to do this, I wanted to know if he or she would be worth risking my ass for.

". . . You don't give up, do you?" He chuckled tiredly.

"Life motto." I shrugged. "Will you tell me?"

"Will you help me?"

"Only if you tell me."

"Okay."

This whole conversation was weird. We were going around in circles of endless bickering. But it wasn't as annoying as I thought. Plus this was the longest conversation I had with someone in the past few years.
