"SO THIS IS GARY," Ash introduced us while driving. "And Gary, this is Serena."
"Not very nice to meet you," Gary shook my hand unimpressed. I like this guy's sarcasm already.
"Likewise."
"Is it so hard to not be sarcastic for a second?" Ash rolled his eyes.
Esqueez moi, sarcasm is life.
"No." Me and Gary asked together, then looked at each other and said together again. "Jinx."
"Alright!" Ash interuppted, trying to get our attention. "Listen, we are going to park the car a distance away so that if by chance we couldn't get to the car, it will be safe."
"I mean, I am not so worried about the car," I admitted. "Tell me a plan that will keep us safe."
"That I don't have."
"What the fuck does that mean?"
"Why do you need the plan?" Gary came into the conversation. "You both just gotta go in, take the photo and walk back to the car. Or maybe, run, depending on the situation."
I didn't listen to the rest of his words. I looked at him. "What do you mean by you both?"
He looked back at me as if I had suddenly grown Shrek's horns on my head. "Why, of course I am staying here as the driving buddy."
Driving buddy, my ass.
"No one told me about this job," I argued. "I will stay here as the driver and you both will go."
"No freakin' way!" Porcupine shot back.
"Yes way!"
"No way!"
"Yes!"
"NO!"
"YES!"
"Ah, fuck it!" Ash moaned, slamming his hands on the wheel.
