Bloody battle

A few days later, it was starting out like a normal day. Being alone in an empty box was pretty much fun for me. Newt brought me breakfast and then lunch a few hours later. I was a little hungry, but I didn't want to be rude. I was talking to newt for a few minutes when we heard footsteps "come on newt, there is a meeting in the council." Gally said and newt nodded. Then I watched him and gally walk away. Newt went straight to the building and gally went to round up more people. I sat on the same side of the wall as normal, facing so that I could see if someone was approaching. I get out newts machete and start to stare at it. This is the only thing I did while he wasn't here. I heard a thump and I looked up at gally, standing right in front of me. He was facing his back to me and he started to turn around. I moved from corner to corner, quietly, avoiding his eye contact. I got in the rhythm of his movement, when he changed directions and caught me. He grabbed my arm and took newts machete away from me. He throw me out of the box as he started to climb out. He got up and tossed me to the floor "who the shuck are you?" He asked me "I-I don't know" I said and started to get up, when he lightly stepped on my stomach, keeping me down. All the boys surrounded us as I struggled to get free "Stop trying, your weak" he said and that's when anger filled me. I grabbed his foot and twisted it as he fell down. I stood up and stepped on his wrist. He winced in pain as the boys cheered me on.

I heard all of the above and more "ENOUGH" I heard someone yell. I turned and it was Alby. I froze, still standing on his wrist "get off of his wrist" Alby said "Alby, come any closer and gally's wrist will loose circulation" I said and the rest of the boys were shocked "how do you know our names?" Gally asked "newt was talking with both of you" I said and then I felt my hands get tied behind me "what the hell?!" I yelled and it was a black haired boy. The rest of the boys stood behind us, as the boy walked me to the council building. Newt stepped outside and his eyes widened. The boy threw me on the floor in front of newt, my hands still tied. I flipped onto my back and sat up. I stood up and stepped next to newt "who is she?" I heard a boy say from the crowd. Then gally stepped up to us with newts machete. He walked up to me and held it at my stomach "speak" Gally said with anger in his voice. He poked my stomach when I didn't talk "I don't know who I am" I said and he poked me once more. Then he moved to newt, holding his machete at his leg. His right leg "she's the greenie" he said "bullklunk" Gally said "it's true, I hid from y'all because I was scared." I said. Then gally backed away from us and threw newts machete at the foot of newt "put 'em in the pit" Alby said and two boys came and took me and newt away. Gally threw me into one of the 'jail cells' then shut it. Newt jumped in to his and then they tied his. They walked away and I basically tried to do jump rope with my arms. I scooted my arms to the front of me and untied myself "wow" newt said as he looked at me through the sticks in the wall "what?" I asked him "oh nothing" he told me and I nodded. Then I laid down on the hard, cold ground, and fell asleep.

I'm staring at a tube, watching someone drown. No, it wasn't just someone, it was newt. I put my hands up to the glass as he struggles to maintain his breath. Then he puts his hands up to the glass, right where mine were, and it looked like he started crying. I put my head to the tube and did the same, started crying "y/n, it's time to go. We have to prepare the next boy" someone said as they spun me around. As soon as I saw him I recognized him. It was the other boy with gally, when they threw me in the pit. I walked with him and we started to prepare the next boy "Thomas, why are we doing this?" I asked. Thomas was his name "y/n, we have to" he said and then I walked over to him. I looked at him and we got closer.

Right before we kissed I woke up, screaming. I breathed heavily and newt was already out and at my door "Grennie? You alright?" He asked me "y/n.." I whispered "what was that?" "N-nothing" I said and then he helped me out of the pit "Thomas" I said and looked at him "how do you know my name?" he asked me "I-I, uh" I hesitated, not know what to do "newt told me" I told Thomas "no I-" then I elbowed him in the gut "she's right" he said, bending over, holding his stomach "ok, well next time, your gonna be banished" Gally said and I nodded "as for you newt, I expect better behavior" Gally also said, then I started to walk off to the deadheads again, when the Asian boy stops me "hey hey hey!" He said and I stopped "what!" I said "what's your name?" He asked me "I'm not telling anyone" I told him and kept walking, then I felt a hand grab my arm "what!!" I whined "I'm Minho" he said "cool!" I said sarcastically "clam down, and you have to go with me today" he said and I shook my head, then crossed my arms over my chest "your trying out for a runner today, you have to" he said and I finally agreed.
