So shucking stupid

Thomas's POV

It's been a week after y/n got injected with...whatever that was, and I'm starting to get worried. She's looking more pale and I'm not sure she can run with everyone to get out of this hell whole. We plan on leaving in four days, so I hope she's better. Suddenly I see Teresa running from the homestead "THOMAS!" She yells and I start to run towards her "what?" I asked "Y/N! SHE PASSED OUT" she yelled in my face and I immediately ran inside "Y/N!" I yelled as I saw her body laying on the floor "What happened!?" I asked eagerly "I was taking her daily bloody and she just fell!" She replied and I looked at all the blood on the counter "that isn't 1 pint a day. That's at LEAST 2." I said, furious with her "oops?" She said in the most innocent voice ever. I picked her up and sat her on her bed "God, I hope she's ok" I said and Teresa patted my back "don't. Touch me." I said and she moved her hand away.

Time jump: three days later

I was sitting with y/n in her room, and kept checking her pulse every minute. Yesterday they declared her dead but I don't believe them. I couldn't believe them. I started to cry again, when Minho came back in "hey man, it's ok. Shes in a better place. Seriously this place is a hell whole" Minho said and I cracked a laugh "yeah. But I wish she would've left newt. I had a bad feeling about him." I said and he nodded "yeah." He replied then Teresa came in. With newt "hey guys! Look who's all better!!" She said and kissed his cheek. Then newt smiled... Until he saw y/n's body "what the hell happened to her?!" He asked "well. Teresa here, drained 2 pints of her blood every day for a week, and she passed out three days ago" I told him and he ran up to her "no" he said and started to cry "she can't be dead" he said and Minho nodded "but she is.." He said and newt looked up at him "Minho. Your glad I don't cut your bloody he-" he was cut off by y/n sitting up and gasping for air "Y/N!" We all yelled "yay...she's alive" Teresa said and I was literally about to punch that slinthead "Teresa. Mind shutting up?" Y/n asked her and everyone else but her, laughed. She walked outside and was stopped by Alby "your not going anywhere." Alby said and took her away by the arm "newt, your better!" She said and he nodded, then kissed her. I was starting to get mad so I decided that it was best for me to leave. Both me and Minho walked out. We stopped at the exit, looked at each other, rolled our eyes, and walked in separate directions.

Newts POV

I nodded and then kissed her. At this point I wanted to make Thomas jealous, but I still do love her...sort of? I pulled away and saw that both Thomas and Minho were gone "newt. I want to say-" "I know. Your sorry for hurting me. I deserve it" I said and she shook her head "no, newt. I know you weren't lying. Which is why I, I can't. I can't do this anymore." She said and my smile went away "are you..breaking up with me?" I asked and she nodded, standing up "I'm sorry" she said and walked out. Did that just happen? "Y/n!" I said, walking out. I didn't see her in the distance so I just rushed away. The sun started to set and Alby called me for the banishing of Teresa. We got in position and Minho brought Teresa in the center "Alby! Why?!" She said and the doors started to close "POLES!" Alby announced and we all got our poles down "NEWT!" She yelled at me, as if I cared about her. I really don't. She was backing up into the maze and right before the maze closed she whispered "Please newt. Please" she said and then the door closed. I walked to the wall, put my pole back, and walked off to my sleeping bag. I laid down and stared at the blank roof. I honestly believe that I had no emotion at all "What did I do wrong" I said to myself "everything" I heard Minho say and sat up "what are you talking about?" I asked him "dude. You don't treat her like the girl that she is. You said that you slapped her on purpose. Just face it. You aren't the ONE for her." He said and I stood up "yeah. And what would you have done?" I asked him "well, for starters. I would've asked her how her day went, EVERYDAY. I would've helped her with things that she need help with. And I sure wouldn't hit her." He said and I just lost confidence. I noticed that I did NONE of those things "I'm so shucking stupid" I said as I sat down "yeah. You are" he said and walked away. I laid back down and drifted off to sleep.
