Vince’s POV

Our gaze locks for a second before I glance around, taking note of the five armed men with him.

I shake my head at how he just underestimated me.

Even though they are armed, I can take them down in two seconds.

Nadir grins widely as if he can hear my thoughts. “Don't even think of it.”

Nadir is my only problem. I need to take two of the men at a time, using one of them as a shield and taking the other two out while still holding onto the third man.

Then I have to face Nadir.

And I know more of his men will come once there is a shootout here.

Still, I need to take risks. I need to get Ann and Tessa out as soon as I can.

Fernando might probably be there, but I have no assurance he hasn't fallen into a trap like I have.

Nadir moves forward, shoving his gun into my mouth and giving me an opportunity to lift my head to glance around once more, the scenes of what I need to do racing through my head over and over again.

“Time to finally get rid of you,” he says as he makes the mistake of taking the gun away from my mouth.

With a change of plans, in one quick action, I grab Nadir forward with his gun, slamming his back to him.

I snap the weapon out of his hand, placing it on his forehead and daring his men to shoot at me.

Nadir raises his hands in surrender.

“Drop your guns.” He orders them with fear and a tone of authority.

Everyone fears death. Even the Almighty Nadir, I smirk.

With my knees on the ground, I disentangle my legs from the strings before standing upright and moving toward the corner of a wall.

Nadir’s men move back.

Hastily, I take the gun off Nadir and shoot at one of his men.

“Don't shoot,” he screams at them as the man drops dead. He knows the others would want to shoot at him, putting him at risk of getting hit.

I shoot the next man and the next and the next.

A shot rings out, not from my gun. The next thing I know is the sudden ache that pierces my shoulder.

Nadir kicks my thigh, moving away from my hold.

Without hesitation, I shoot at the man who hit me before pointing the gun back at Nadir, who moves backwards, his arms raised.

“Coward!” I curse at him, and he smiles wearily.

He glances up, expecting me to do the same so he can escape.

When he realizes my gaze is still fixated on him and not diverted, he turns around to run, and I shoot him in the leg.

I walk up to him and shoot his second leg. He screams out.

Just then, I hear the resounding footsteps of people at the entrance, and I turn my gun towards the entrance, pinning Nadir down with my leg on his chest.

“Vicente!” He groans out in pain.
I am not done with him yet.

What Isaac and the others deserve is a slow, torturous death, so when they come back to life, if there is a next life, they will choose their path rightly.

Fernando rushes in, followed closely by Caleb, Derrick, and the others.

Relief washes through me when Fernando gives me a nod, signifying the girls are safe.

“Search everywhere. Get Isaac. No one is allowed to escape!” I instruct as they all disperse.

“You are bleeding,” Fernando notices, staying back.

I ignore his statement, shifting my attention back to Nadir, who is pathetically whimpering beneath me.

I lift my feet from his chest and shoot his two arms, his scream echoing around.

“Coward!” I bark at him again before driving five bullets into his skull.

When I try to move past his body lying in a pool of blood, I stagger, and Fernando grabs me quickly.

“You are bleeding,” he repeats, holding onto me firmly.

“It's nothing,” I say, even though a wave of dizziness just sweeps through me. “Where are they?”

He knows who I am talking about.
“Luca took them out.”

As we walk further into the building, I inform him, “No one should touch Isaac. I'm going to take him out myself. "

Fernando chuckles and I stare at him, wondering what was funny.
“The Queen says she wants to kill Isaac Rossi herself.”

If it were days back, I would have smiled at the statement, feeling proud that Ann was finally standing up to her task of being the Mafia queen.

But I know she isn't one. She doesn't want to be one. Not when she already asked for an annulment.

We ransack the whole place for a while before the dizziness sweeps through me again, and Fernando drags me out to the car.

“Let's get you home,” he mutters as he drags me out.

At first, I wanted to protest, but when I saw Isaac being dragged out like the criminal he was, relief washes through me once more.

Ann’s wish can now come to pass. She can now avenge her mother’s death.

I let Fernando help me to the car without any questions. As soon as I lay on the leather belt, I keep drifting in and out, until we got home, and he helps me out.

Isaac will be taken to the torture room.

What Nadir got is nowhere close to what I'd do to Isaac. Nadir was so lucky to get a quick death.

However, in my torture room, what people who sit in that chair get is a slow torture that will have them begging for mercy and begging for death.

Isaac’s son was lucky I didn't know his true identity when he was in my torture room. That death I had given him was too quick for someone like him.

However, his father will suffer for it all.

Isaac will suffer for his sins and also the sins of his two sons.

A loud gasp makes me lift my head when we enter the house. Tessa and Annette are waiting for the moment. They see me, and their jaws drop in shock.

Annette looks so small and frail in the chair she is sitting in, making me feel a rush of anger at the people who did that to her.

Before I can say anything about my actions over the phone and explain my reasons, she slowly helps herself up and walks towards me.

I think for a second she will lift her hand to strike my face.

Because I deserve that.

I deserve whatever mistreatment right now for telling them to kill her without an iota of emotions.

I was dying inside, but I had to do that to get them off-guard.

She stops a foot away from me, her eyes swollen with bruises everywhere on her face and hands.

Finally, I open my mouth. “I'm so sorry…I shouldn't…”

She opens her arms, interrupting me from going further as she embraces me tightly before breaking down completely into uncontrollable tears.
