Young Severus

"LET HIM DOWN JAMES!" you screamed at one of the boys that was currently bullying one of your best friends Severus Snape. "Aw and why should I (Y/N)? that's no fun! and why do you even hang out with him anyways? he isn't even cool and he's really weird, you should just hang out with us instead" he smirked at you, still hovering Severus in the air. At this point you were beyond pissed at him so you shouted "Expelliarmus!" and blasted the wand out of his hand, resulting in your best friend falling face first into the ground. You rushed over to him checking to see if he was alright and pulling him up off the ground. "You guys are a jerks!" you said to James and the group of boys he always hangs around with. You gently put Severus' arm around your shoulders and started walking away from the group of boys who were laughing at you and him.

  

You led him to a tree near Black Lake and sat him down gently to avoid any further injuries or hurt towards him. "Sorry I couldn't let you down any softer, I'm pretty sure he would have just dropped you anyways" you said checking him for any injuries. "I'm just glad that you came when you did, I don't know what they would have done to me if you hadn't come any sooner" he said avoiding any eye contact with you, a slight blush apparent on his pale cheeks. "Aw no worries Sev! also let me heal up some of your cuts and bruises" you said gently cupping his cheek and started to heal his minor cuts and bruises from the fall he took earlier.

  

"Hey (Y/N)?" he asked quietly grabbing your hand that was healing his wounds "yes Sev?" you asked looking into his dark eyes. "Do you promise to always be friends?" he asked hopefully. "Of course" you said smiling at him and grabbing his hand and pulling him up off the ground and intertwining your fingers with his. "Do you also promise that you will never leave me?" he asked squeezing your hand a little tighter. "Yes, I could never lose you, you're my best friend!" you said pulling him into a side hug. "Now let's go get dinner!" you said grinning, skipping alongside your best friend that rolled his eyes at your childish antics.

Time skip 3 months~

  

"Hey Sev, stop crying, it doesn't suit you" you said weakly laying in St. Mungos hospital dying of a terminal illness you never knew you had until it was too late to try to stop it. "I-I'm not crying" he said hiccuping from the tears that were flowing down his face. You gave his hand a gentle squeeze like you did whenever he was sad and gave him a weak grin. "Please don't leave me" he said pleadingly "I wouldn't dream of it" you replied looking into his teary eyes.

Time skip 1 month~

  

Severus was staring at a tombstone with the words 'Here lies (Y/N) (Y/L/N) loved by family and friends, will be missed by all' with tears streaming down his face. He could hear thunder in the sky rolling in from the distance and was standing over her grave with (Favorite flowers) clenched tightly in his hands.

"You promised me you would never leave me, you lied" he said bitterly and with that he threw the flowers at your grave and left never to return to where you were buried, peacefully resting. And on that day he promised himself that he would never trust anybody's promises ever again.
