Chapter 5

No one's POV :

Twilight gasped.

Applejack turned around still holding Rainbow down. She gasped as well. There was huge bruises on Rainbow's rubs and stomach. Twilight pulled Rainbow's shirt and jacket up so her stomach and rib area were showing.

Applejack looked down at Rainbow. She climbed on top of her and straddled Rainbow. She pulled the teen up so she was sitting. Rainbow turn her head and looked down at her lap. She was sure that if she looked up she would see a look of disgust and judgement on the blonde's face.

Twilight stood up.

"I'll go get my first aid kit", she said walking away.

She walked out of the room, leaving the two alone.

"Rainbow. Look at me", Applejack said.

She placed a hand under Rainbow's chin and raised her head so Rainbow was looking at her. Applejack had only a look of worry.

"What happened??", Applejack asked.

"Got kicked. Alot".

Rainbow didn't want to lie to her. She knew she couldn't at the moment. She could at least tell her that much.

Applejack was about to ask what had happened when Twilight came back in. She was carrying a first aid kit. Applejack got off of Rainbow.

Twilight kneeled in front of Rainbow Dash.

"Lay down. I'm going to check to see if your ribs are bruised or broken".

Yeah. Twilight is a medical student. She was 16 but SMART. Like, smart enough to be have finished medical school last summer. Noone even questioned her knowledge.

Rainbow looked at Applejack. She bit her lip.

"Could you stay with me??", she asked. "I-I don't want to be alone. You don't have to though".

Applejack smiled and crouched down. She took Rainbow's hand.

"Ah'm not goin anywhere".

Rainbow laid back down, hands at her sides loosely. Twilight looked at her.

"Just let me know if I'm hurting you", she said. I nod. Twilight began to prod on Rainbow's stomach and ribs. She was fine on the left but when she pressed on the right side, Rainbow let out a hiss.

"Ow".

Twilight pulled her hands away immediately.

"Sorry", she said.

Rainbow took a breath. She didn't like this one bit. Twilight continued to prod and press on her ribs.

"What are you doing??", a voice said.

The three turned to see Fluttershy, Rarity, and Pinkie standing at the doorway. They walked over to them.

"Making sure she doesn't have any broken ribs", Twilight answered, going back to work on Rainbow.

The girls gasped when they saw the bruises.

"What happened??", Fluttershy asked.

Rainbow sighed. "Got jumped yesturday on the way home".

Applejack raised an eyebrow. Rainbow had just lied. But she didn't call her out on it. After about 10 minutes Twilight smiled and took off the gloves.

"Good news. You don't any broken bones. But your ribs are bruised. Pinkie, can you please go-".

"Here".

Twilight turned to her. Pinkie held out an ice pack.

"How did you know that was what I as going to say??", Twilight asked.

Pinkie giggled. "Silly. Once I saw the bruises I knew she would need ice. Everyone knows that".

Twilight handed the ice pack to Rainbow Dash.

"Rarity. You know where the pain medicine is at??".

Rarity nodded.

"Go get the bottle and some water, please".

Rarity left the room.

"How much does it hurt??", Twilight asked Rainbow.

Rainbow shrugged. "No so bad".

Rarity walked back in a few minutes later. She gave Rainbow the glass of water of the pills. Rainbow swallowed them and drank the water. She sighed.

"They should kick in about 10 minutes".

Rainbow looked at her friends.

"So", Twilight said sitting down, a worried look on her face. "You got jumped??. Tell us what happened".

Rainbow's eyes widened for a split second. She laughed nervously.

"I don't wanna talk about it. I-It wasn't that bad".

"Rainbow. Your ribs are bruised up. You have bruises. Tell us".

Rainbow bit her lip. She looked up at the clock. She gasped. It was 1:50!! She had to get home!!. Throwing the ice pack down she shot up.

"I have to go", she exclaimed. She grabbed her bag and ran out of the run.

"WAIT!!".

Twilight ran after her. "Rainbow Dash!!".

The girls looked at eachother.

"Should we follow??", Rarity asked.

Applejack nodded. "C'mon!!".

The four ran out of the room and to the front door. They ran outside but suddenly stopped.

Twilight had Rainbow pinned under her. They ran over to them and stopped a few feet away.

"Rainbow, you can't just run around like that. You'll hurt yourself even more!!", Twilight exclaimed.

Rainbow was able to push her off and stand up. She stepped back. Twilight stood up. Rainbow looked upset. Tears were in her eyes.

"Rainbow", Applejack said. "What's wrong??".

Rainbow stepped back shaking her head.

"I can't tell you", she cried. "I want to but I can't. I have to go home. Bye".

She ran down the street. The girls watched her with confusion. Rainbow went out of sight.

"What just happened??", Twilight asked.

"Ah'm not sure", Applejack answered looking at the teen. "But ah do have ta go home. Mah brother is stayin with me and he's probably worried by now".

Applejack went inside and grabbed her bag and walked back out.

"See ya tomorrow", she said smiling.

She walked to her truck that was parked in front of the house. Getting in she buckled up, started it, and drove away.

Applejack sighed as she passed by streets. Why had Rainbow freaked out like that??. Why was she in such a panic to get home??. Why did she lie about the bruises??. All these questions ran through her head.

Applejack sat back and sighed. She pulled into her driveway. She sat there for a minute.

"That gal is so beautiful, but so confusin", she said. "We need answers. Ah need answers".

Little did she and the girls know that the truth would be spilled, the very next day.
