We walked down to where Natalia was waiting impatiently.
"Well finally!" she sneered at Jesse, "I sent you up there 8 minutes ago."
"Well excuse me for taking the time to compliment our beautiful best friend," he said in a wink in my direction. Rolling my eyes and pushing him to the side, I stalked over to Natalia, linking my arm with hers.
"Sorry, he was harassing me, it took a while to get away," I breathed to Natalia, leading her to the door, as I turned and stuck my tongue out at Jesse.
"Hey, you liked it" he called to me while locking the door behind us. He was right. There was never a moment when I didn't, but he didn't need to know that.

"So what is going on between you two?" Natalia asked me with a disgusted look on her face as I grabbed books out of my locker. Man we needed bigger lockers, you can hardly fit a bag in here let alone a crap load of books.
"What? What are you talking about Nat? You will have to be a bit more specific," I giggled, raising my eyebrows at her in confusion. I know alot of people, and alot of guys, she could be talking about anyone.
"I'm talking about you and my brother Fianna" she spoke sternly without alter in her glare. I hate it when she stares at me like that, always made me uncomfortable and she knows it too.
"Jiles? Ew, gross. Never in a million years" I joked, knowing Jiles wasn't the brother she was talking about, but I had to try to lighten her mood. Jiles is her older older brother and Jesse's fraternal twin. He is a bit of a nut case and really annoying. He flirts with anything that has at least a 34B chest, and even 34 year olds find him obnoxious. Completely different from his brother, both in looks and personality. Jiles has blond hair and blue eyes, where Jesse has black hair and brown eyes. Most people wouldn't know they are brothers, and Jesse likes to think he is adopted. But they love each other deep down, way way down.
"HaHa funny, but you know I am talking about you and Jesse" she frowned "you two have been spending alot of time together lately." She's not wrong, we have been spending alot of time together lately. But that has always been that way, since we could speak. Natalia just worries too much, and if there isn't something to worry about, she makes one up.
"Nothing" I tell her with a sigh "you know that as well as I do. We are just friends and nothing more. You know we have always been close." I have told her this all before, every single time she asks. Natalia is like a dog with a bone when it comes to this topic, just can't drop it. It's bad enough I already know Jesse will never go for me, I don't need her reminding me over and over again.
"I know but you guys are just so close, sometimes way to close" she sighs rolling her eyes and crossing her arms over her chest "the thought of you two together is just sickening."
"Natalia, you have nothing to worry about. There is nothing going on between us," I closed my locker and linked her arm again with mine," you know I have a thing for the new kid Jason." That made her smile and whirl her head around toward me, with a force I thought would take it clean off.
"How is that going anyway? He is soo hot!" she laughed and acted as if she was going to faint from the heat that radiated from him. I can tell you one thing, she is not a very good actress, I couldn't help but laugh at her.
"Oh where to begin, let's just say we are close to being wrapped around each others finger." I winked at her, making her gasp.
"Fianna, going there so quickly?" she winked over to me. She has such a dirty mind, but maybe it sounded that way to her.
"What/ No! Not that way, I just mean that we can't go a day without talking" I said matter-of-factly shaking my head and nudging her shoulder "let's go, we are going to be late for class."
So I do like Jason, he makes me like him more and more every day. But he is still no comparison to Jesse. Being around Jason doesn't give me the adrenaline rush that being even in the same room as Jesse does. I hope that can change soon. I can't keep holding on too Jesse when it's perfectly clear he only wants to be friends, and Jason is a great guy.
Ever since I met Jason, all Jesse does is insult him. 'He is not a good person. He seems sketchy. He is so arrogant, the way he walks around the school like he owns it.' I don't know why Jesse acts this way, but I just wish he would give Jason a chance. It will be hard to continue on with Jason if Jesse won't give his approval. I value his opinion far too much.
