Jesse's POV

I couldn't believe what had just happened. What I had just done. She was still walking down the hall, avoiding the people who were trying to comfort him, and all I could do was watch. I had done that to her, she trusted me and I let her down. Her life is bad enough, and instead of catching her, I let her fall when she valued my opinion most and I knew that. So why did I say what I did? I wasn't even thinking.

My thoughts were interrupted by the most obnoxious voice I know.

"Well done brother," he said with a chuckle "you really know to sweep them off their feet."

Turning to meet that sarcastic smirk and judging blue eyes, I tried to walk past him but was cut off by his quick step.

"Whoa, where are you off to so fast? Are you going to make another girl cry? Why not the whole cheer leading team? I mean, you might as well, now that you have destroyed their captain. They could be the 'Gloom Leading Team'." I could see the amusement in his eyes. He was obviously enjoying my misery.

"Not now Jiles, I'm not in the mood to deal with you right now. Why don't you go harass some girl and stay out of my business?" I hissed through gritted teeth. But that didn't phase him, because his smile only widened.

"Hahaha! Someone is bitter today. But maybe you're right. I should go harass some girl, but instead of harass a random girl, how about I go comfort Fianna? I think she needs to know at least one Jagger brother isn't scum." I could see seriousness in his eyes, he wasn't kidding. He would go comfort her. Act like he actually cares. He would do anything to get in her pants, or any girls pants come to think of it.

Just the thought of anyone disrespecting that girl infuriated me. Even though I had just done it moments ago. I hated myself right now, couldn't help but wonder if she hated me too. I couldn't control myself at this point. My fists were shaking as I noticed for the first time that they were balled up and my blood was boiling. What I did next, I hadn't noticed what I was doing until it was too late.

Jiles was walking past me to go after Fianna, but he didn't make it very far. I turned on my heels to grab his arm and threw him up against the lockers.

"Don't you dare touch her you filthy son of a bitch," I snarled, the venom heavy in my words. His eyes widened and for a moment his smile faded but returned not too long after.

"No need to bring mom into this conversation. You seriously need to respect the women in your life" he said chuckling as he ripped my hands off his arms and stepped away from the lockers. He started to walk away again in the direction he was headed, but stopped only briefly to turn to me.

"So little brother, in all this chit chat we're doing, I forgot to ask you the one thing I'ver been wanting too" he grinned at me like a bobcat, "how does it feel to have pushed the girl you love into another guys arms?" And with that, he left, all too happily down the hall.

Again I was left there standing alone. More people staring at me than before. Instead of hating Jiles, which I really wanted to do, I was left there agreeing with him for once in my life. Fianna did need to know that one Jagger brother wasn't scum. But that brother wasn't going to be Jiles. It was going to be me. I was going to get her back. I was going to make he trust me again, but most of all, I was going to be the one to make her love again. I was going to become someone worth loving and then someone worthy of her love. I have been without her for too long, It's time to man up and get the girl I love.

I had no idea how to do that though. I've never really tried with a girl, especially not with one that mattered. It was always easy. Say something the girl wanted to hear, get in her pants and then leave without another word to her ever.
