C5: Out to Launch

Author's note: DID YOU GUYS LIKE MY PLOT TWIST? Okay it wasn't really a plot twist but whatever. The last chapter was really short so I'm going to try and make this one very long.
PLUS!! TODAY IS THE DAY THAT DAN AND PHIL ARE GOING TO UPLOAD AN ANNOUNCEMENT VIDEO! ARE THEY GONNA COME OUT??? (Please)

Phil was sulking. He was siting is his bedroom with this arms crossed, glaring at the wall. Why couldn't he have the perfect relationship, like Alex and Jake? Why did he, Phil Lester, have to be in love with an extremely heterosexual male? Why? Did God hate him? Was this karma? Was this the product of smashing all of those mirrors? Wait, if it was that... wouldn't Dan be affected too......?

He sat there and thought about life until Dan rudely barged into his room in search of the American Flag. Phil was so far gone into oblivion that he didn't notice Dan yelling until he got a stuffed Pikachu thrown at his face.

"OI MATE, WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT?

"Where's the flag?" Dan asked, tiredly.

"The flag? Which one...?"

"The American one, genius."

"Why, in God's name, do you need the American flag?" Phil sighed, closing his eyes. He had never known Dan to act like this. Especially not over a flag.

"Grace is coming over... I wanna impress her. We're British. She's American. Wouldn't it impress her if we had the flag hung up...?" Dan responded, starting to get a little panicky.

"I guess," Phil said as he got to his feet. "If you say so." He grudgingly walked to his closet, where he opened the doors and started the pursuit of the flag.

Now's your chance, genius! Show him what he's missing out on! Sang Phil's inner voice.

Eh, why not?

Phil bent over, knowing full well that the flag was at the very top of his closet, and put his butt on display for Dan, making sure that it was pointed in the taller man's direction.

He decided to wiggle his hips a little, for good measure. He faked a sigh, straightened back up to full height, and snuck a glance over his shoulder at Dan.

Daniel James Howell was dead.

Not literally speaking, only figuratively, but he felt dead inside. He know what Phil was playing at, and it was working, but he wasn't going to let his older friend get the best of him.

As if on cue, or by the mercy of some powerful deity, Dan's phone rang. The Jurassic Park  theme came blaring out into the room. Dan checked the ID before sighing with relief.

Phil, still faking a search for the flag, was looking sad. He knew that the call was going to be from his "rival", Grace, aka Dan's girlfriend. So he was pleasantly surprised when he heard-

"Hey, Tyler! Haven't talked to you or Zoe in a while, what's up?" Dan cut off Phil's train of thoughts.

"Oh my God, seriously? He- really? Do you need me to beat him with a shovel?"

Phil's eyebrows furrowed. Who would Dan possibly need to beat with a shovel? Does Dan own a shovel? No, no he doesn't.

"Wait, so let me get this straight. Sorry, no pun intended. That prat Conner breaks up with you, and less than a week later, you're with some twink from Australia named Troye? Okay, that makes sense." Dan continued to chatter into the phone.

Phil slowly turned around. Tyler from downstairs had a new boyfriend? Again? He silently said a prayer for his new boyfriend, knowing that Tyler can go through them pretty fast. He's only known the guy for a couple of weeks and he's already had 4- if you include the new guy.

He sighed, decided that his little game with Dan was not going to work, and grabbed a stool. He may be over 6 feet, but he can't reach that stupid flag.

After getting it down, he heard Dan say goodbye to Tyler, before he rushed to explain to Phil that he was going out for a minute. Before Phil could ask why, he was already halfway out the door, having grabbed his keys and a pair of shoes.

What was that all about?

I wanted to tell you guys that I'm starting a new fanfiction...... but not about Taylor, and not about Dan and Phil. It's actually about two things.... that I'm making into one.... it should come out tonight. Check back here in a week or so if you wanna see it! :)
