Chapter 20

Jax's House (Charming, California)

Jax came in from the bedroom as Tara cooked breakfast for them. She needed to be at the prison to get Otto to recant his statement. Jax placed a distant kiss on her forehead before sitting at the table.

" Morning. Are you heading in?" Jax asked, watching Tara place the food on the plate before handing it to him.

"If I can see Otto today, I think I'll change his mind," Tara stated as Jax grabbed the plate.

"Okay, I told Sybil to speak to him as well," Jax says, making Tara look at him in question.

"Why? Do you think I can't do it?" Tara questioned as she tried to hide her anger. She was happy to help out Jax finally Jax. But it seemed Sybil Pope was the person that Jax would always go to when he needed help. She loathed it. After everything they have been through together.

"Tara, it's not that I don't think you can't do it. Otto has been getting over on ATF agents, and now with the RICO case shelved, we don't know who else would come after the crew," Jax tells her before small feet patted across the floor to run to his father. Jax picked Abel up, sitting him on his knee as Abel held the toy that Sybil brought him.

"I can do it. I don't need her help," Tara stated. Jax sighed but didn't say anything. Tara turned around to fix herself something to eat. She sat down. She placed her hand on Jax's.

"I'm sorry. I want to prove that I am a great old lady. She can be the last resort if I can't get him to retract his statement." Tara rubs his hand softly. Jax nodded before Abel helped himself to Jax's food.

The couple's mealtime was silent. Tara still felt jealous that Jax asked Sybil to help.

Sybil's House (Charming, California)

Sybil was woken up by her phone ringing; she tossed and turned as she tried to ignore it. She huffs silently as she taps her hand to get to her phone, making her fall out of bed. She got up to get her phone, now awake from the fall. She saw Huck's number plastered, waiting for her to answer. She answered it.

"Hello? Huck, are you okay? Do you need me to bring you back?" Sybil lists off questions quickly.

"We need help. Someone is coming after me and B613 members." Huck stated, even though he knew she was busy. Their relationship grounded him close to the earth. 

"Okay. Okay, I'll be there." Sybil says before they both hung up. She packs her bag for a couple of days.

She got ready, getting dressed before calling Michael.

"Michael, make sure the pilot is ready for me." Sybil rushed out as she rushed down the stairs. She quickly wrote Rio a note.

                                                  Went back to Washington for a few days. 

                           Work came up. Continue helping Jax and update me on anything that                                                                                                          happens.

"10-4, Ms. Sybil," Michael replied before radioing out. Sybil rushed out of the house to her car. Her first time in Washington since the Artie situation. She spun her wheel around as she put her car in reverse before heading towards the hangar. She was up in the air in just 30 seconds.
