BACKWARDS ALLEY WITH LUIS AND ROMEO
Clay leaned on his car while the familiar silver sedan drove up in the alleyway as he waited. Two Hispanic men got out of the car, while two stood guard for protection. They walked close to him making him wear his shit eating grin on his face. Clay looked at the familiar faces of the Galindo Cartel. Luis and Romeo.
"What's so urgent?" Romeo asked him. He and Luis shared a look, before looking at Clay again, who was still wearing his shit- eating grin.
"I got a little disturbing news the other day, I wanted to bounce off my Mexican brethren. It turns out there was this RICO case, right? It was about to come crashing down on all of us. And then all of a sudden, it just went away. You wouldn't know anything about that, would you?" Clay asked the two men. He wanted to know if there was anything else he could learn. Lenny had already told him that Sybil had moved Otto from the prison. He wanted her out of his way and fast.
"How the hell would I know?" Romeo tells him.
"Who told you this shit?" Luis asked him.
"I heard it from my sources," Clay replied with his arms crossed.
"Oh, you got sources now?" Luis scoffed at him.
"Oh, yeah. I got sources that are helping me sort through all the facts. For instance, how you were able to get Jax to do a 180 on the drugs and the guns. And why he kept me breathing so that Gaalan can continue to funnel Irish guns your way. One might think you were holding something over his head. Like maybe a RICO case. And then it hit me. To pull that off, you'd have to be wearing two really big hats. What federal agency could be that devious and that manipulative?" Clay said.
Romeo and Luis looked at each other, but this time discreetly.
"Where's this going?" Romeo, now taking control of the conversation.
"I don't know, and that's the problem. I think Jax is pushing to kill the RICO leverage you got. If that happens, I'll go away. And the guns go away, and you go away." Clay tells them. Romeo looked at him. This would mess up everything. They still had a part to play regardless of the president stopping the RICO case.
"How's he doing that?" Romeo asked him.
"Was. How was he doing that?" Clay mentioned.
"What do you mean, was?" Romeo had his hand on his hip while Luis crossed his arms.
"Sybil Pope. She got Delaney out of prison and hid him god's nowhere." Clay stated.
Romeo was familiar with the name. Sybil Pope was popular in Oakland and in Washington, DC. She and her cousin.
"I'm familiar with the name," Romeo said, making Clay want to hear about it.
"She and her cousin are very popular. I have sources in Washington. This goes deeper than all of us. If she's helping Jax, then it could be trouble for us." Romeo added.
