Sybil stood in the elevator with Stephen and Olivia as they went down to meet with people that had their client's child.
"We're gonna get killed." Stephen says as the elevator went down. Sybil and Olivia rolled their eyes at him. Sybil was always packing due to her father, who was an important man in Oakland. She faces forward as Olivia tried to change the subject to least his worry.
" Did you propose? Weren't you gonna ask her tonight?" Olivia asked Stephen, who responded still looking nervous.
" I was doing this tonight. Liv, we're gonna get killed. We're $3 million short." Stephen says.
Sybil stared at him.
"So not yet. We'll be fine." Sybil inputted.
Growing up with a father that was powerful and had connections was to her a blessing and a curse. Her father taught her the business from a young age and still made sure she made her own connections. During the summer she would come and see Olivia over the years. She also had the chance to meet the president himself as the governor before he was elected. She still thought about him sometimes even if she was kind of seeing him behind his wife's back.
"So, you flaked. Why are we short? "Olivia stated before asking.
"The Ambassador couldn't come up with the rest, which is a problem, a very big problem, why we shouldn't even be going up there in the first place. And I did not flake. I'm working for you" Stephen answered as he subtly looked in the bag.
"Flaked." Sybil singly said.
"Don't worry. They'll take what we give them. Did you at least buy the engagement ring?" Olivia ignored her crazy cousin before answering.
"Ukrainian mobsters do not take what you give them. They just shoot you. So, we have bigger things to worry about than me not proposing to my girlfriend. We are in a situation here. Focus. Do what you do." Stephen says as the elevator begins to open as they walked to meet with the mobsters.
"Good evening, gentlemen." Olivia said she made Stephen put the money bag on the table. Sybil stood right by her side.
"You got the money?" The mobster Oskar asked.
"Of course, all $3 million." Olivia slyly says changing the amount asked. Sybil looked at her cousin worked with a slight smile.
" We said 6." Oskar said indifferently.
"Did we?" Olivia questioned.
"We did." Oskar stared at the woman challenging him.
"I have 3." Olivia says staring right back at the man.
"That's a problem." Oskar says.
Sybil and her subtly nodded at each other just in case anything goes sideways.
