Sybil/Third's Pov (CHARMING, CALIFORNIA)
Sybil stood there, what felt like forever, as Fitzgerald Grant III stood there in Charming. He still had that beaming smile on his face. He was supposed to be in the comfort of the white house. Safe from any harm that comes his way. Sybil blinked twice before finally walking to the door.
"Tom. Hal." Sybil greeted them with a nod.
The two shared looks. "Ms. Pope."
She wrapped her arm around Fitz's arm, shocking him as she dragged him inside. The door slammed before Tom stood in front of the door. She quickly locked the door, turning to face him, seeing him look around her place.
"Nice place," he comments. His hands now in his pockets.
"What are you doing here? You're supposed to be in Washington." Sybil says, crossing her arms and looking at him. This was bad timing right now. She needed to focus on Jax and helping him. Fitz was just going to distract her.
"We were on our way there, but I wanted to make a pit stop," Fitz tells her. He takes in the clothes she had started to wear. She looked just as beautiful as always.
"You can't be here. As much as I'm happy to see you, you need to be in Washington." Sybil walks near him in soft steps. He smiled again at her, being happy to see him, but she wanted him to leave. He didn't want to leave. Not without spending time with her or seeing her.
"I can't see you, even when it's my birthday," Fitz stated with a pout as he stared at her.
Sybil sighs.
"Happy birthday, but you cannot be here. It's not safe. What I'm doing here isn't safe for you to be around." Sybil tells him before repeating to him again that he couldn't be there. Fitz did not care about any of that because who's going to tell him no. He pulled Sybil to him by her waist, as he could now feel her body heat. His hands intertwined, keeping her close to him as they stared into each other's eyes.
"I don't care. I wanted to see you for my birthday. Before I had to go back into the spotlight as the president. Let me stay. One minute with you." Fitz's husky voice sent shivers down her spine. Their one minute will always be their safe space.
"Okay, but you have to leave and be president," she whispered. His eyes went to her lips, which she caught as she did the same. Their faces slowly moved towards each other before the door opened, showing Rio walking in with Jax.
"Well, well, if it isn't the man himself," Rio smirked at Fitz, who looked at him in disdain. Jax watched with his eyes on Sybil as they pulled away from each other.
"Rio." He says in an annoyed tone. Rio could only smile at the annoyance in his voice.
"Was just dropping by, hoping Sybil was back to see a sedan in the driveway and two security friends at the door. And I wondered who that could be," Rio says as he stares at the man, not missing Sybil giving him stern eyes. He knew she was going to ask him why he brought Jax with him.
