chapter 5

We were all on the road now. We told our parents that wre all traveling the world together and that we’ll try to visit whenever we can. It was like when we went camping but instead Sam and her friends had found a house with like I have no idea how many rooms in them. In one vehicle was me, ash, and Cassie. Another was Felix, Sam, and the twins Sabrina and selena. I have a crush on Sabrina. Her brown eyes just pull me in I don’t know why. Whenever she talks to me I let my guard down. But of course their in the U-Haul with all are stuff from home in it. Just important things like clothes, valuables, basically anything they find important. My phone vibrates on the dash and I look at it. Felix. Why is he calling? I answer “hello” “dude help me! Your sister keeps yelling at me that she has to pee!” I laugh “well does anyone else need to go bathroom?” I hear voices in the background “I don’t have to pee! I want out of this enclosure im trapped!” then I hear selena’s “I swear to god if you don’t stop were going to beat you! And make us crash!” I hear a fist collide with skin once and hear Felix yell “OW! Stop hitting me Sabrina!  Im doing what I can ladies’!” I’ve had the speaker on and me, ash and Cassie are laughing so hard I think Cassie’s crying “al-alright we’ll pull over” we were In the middle of nowhere and in Colorado up in the mountains. Apparently are house is in the middle of the woods… no one lives around us at least and we have about 750 acres to run on.

 I pull to the side of the dirt road and climb out smelling the fresh air. Then the U-Haul pulls up behind us and Felix is the first one out “I can’t drive with them!” we laugh and out climbs everyone else “Sam where is this house thee talk of?” she glare at me “don’t talk like thou and thee and all that crap! We’re not civilized!” I laugh and she looks around “should be just up this driveway at the very top” we scoff “I thought this was a road!” she shook her head “no it’s a driveway I told you the house is huge….and of course needs some remodeling….but hey we have about three weeks till school so easy peasy” we stared at her “I thought it was “the house of are dreams”” she shuffled her feet “we can make it into the house of our dreams….” We all throw our hands in the air “we left home to fix up the “house of our dreams that’s what? An entire four days from home?” she shrugged “alright I drive the rest of the way!” she opened the front door to the jeep and I grabbed the passenger door “no way am I riding in the U-Haul after what you did to Felix” she gave me an innocent look and in hopped ash and cassie. Aw looks like Felix is stuck with the twins.

We waited for Felix to start the U-Haul and then Sam took off as soon as the driver door closed. She was swerving around the bends and everything. We all held on our seats for dear life. Im never letting her drive again. Suddenly a huge house came in view and we just stared at it. The outside’s perfect. I leaned forward slightly and Sam slammed on the break out the front of the house. I banged my face on the dash board “Ah! Dang it Sam!” I held my nose and glared at her. She just gave me another innocent look “What?” I hear Cassie in the back seat “I think im gonna throw up” I growled “you are never driving again. “You keep thinking that” she mumbled. She hadn’t planned on me hearing “I mean it no more driving!” she threw her hands in the air then walked to a fountain in the middle of the drive. She started moving around rocks that where at the bottom and picked something up. I looked closer and it was a key “wait how did you get money for this place?” she didn’t say anything and unlocked the door.

“Sam…..how did you buy this place? e-e” she kept walking around and I grabbed her “Sam! How did you get this place!” she jerked away and shuffled her feet “college funds?” I growled and turned around. I was attacked from behind and Sam yelling “let me love you!!!” I laughed “I don’t hate you…. But what about your college education?” she shrugged “I didn’t want to go to college in the first place” I shook my head and we kept walking. And of course Sam being “alpha” got the biggest room….. Also because she threw a fit and kept whining so ash gave it up. I walked into the room next to her’s and claimed it. We all had rooms next to each other. It goes Sam, mine, ash, Cassie, Sabrina, Felix, and selena.

We had our rooms together and everything. We painted my room with black and the girls thought it would be cute to put neon shapes all over it. The only one I like is the guitar. The twins got their sister Kristina to paint small murals on are walls. That’s the only reason I have neon instruments on one of my walls…. Better yet they glow in the dark… yay -.-. We did ash’s room with blue and to get payback we painted a wall pink. It was weird and funny at the same time. Next was Sabrina’s which was black and red. And so her sister Kristina put three wolves’ heads howling at the moon, One black, one brown, and a white one. It was cool. Selena has zebra striped walls thanks to Kristina… and then when she was gone getting food we snuck in and painted a potato on a wall. It was the only thing we thought of be proud. Felix has wolves running in the snow on a wall the other walls are white….plain white. Cassie has pink and black walls with hearts of all sorts of colors on them. Sam’s rooms the best I have to say. Her ceiling is painted like the sky. It looks perfect. And when you turn off the lights is looks like that. Exactly like the night sky is shining.

We all had our own rooms and it was time for school by the time the house was done. The reason were going back is only for senior year because the last month of school we all kinda left to plan out this whole pack thing. The house though has Paint in each room for whoever joins the pack and Kristina just a call away. We’re going to make a reputation… the most vicious pack there is but the closest. stand up to that reputation. No wolf left behind. Sam has been standing up to her alpha duties and we all listen to her too. We had are school supplies too. We bought some cars. We each have our own and extra’s. Mines a black Lamborghini, Sam a black porche, Cassie a black jeep, Felix a black chevelle, Sabrina and selena have a black motorcycle each. No offense but not a surprise their mom loved motorcycles so…yeah, and Ash has a black truck. We like to keep everything black or dark colors for the dark moon pack.

We all arrive at school and you see everyone watching the cars. I put on my shades and step out of the car. Sabrina and selena arrive, Sam, Cassie, ash, then Felix. We all nod at each other and lean against the car. I put my arm on Sabrina’s shoulders. Oh yeah we found out were mates and have been dating since. I kissed her on the cheek and felt the familiar shock of the mating bond I was also showing males that she was mine. Girls are glaring at Sam, selena, Cassie, and Sabrina. What can I say we werewolves are hotter than humans. I see girls checking me out, Sabrina glares at them and they scurry away. I laugh “if looks could kill” selena was talking to Felix and Cassie, Sam and ash where talking. Everyone kept glancing at us and the bell rang. We made sure we all had the same classes, which we do all day. We walked into history and sat in the back. Sabrina put her feet in my lap and everyone kept talking.

I saw some guys walk in and start messing with selena. She might be small but she can handle herself. She elbowed one in the nose. Head butted one next to her ear and the other backed away and sat down looking at his friends who were currently on the ground groaning in pain. We just smiled and in walked the teacher who clapped his hands “alright class let’s get started”.

I haven’t seen Sam or Cassie yet. Where are they? Sabrina sat down with a chicken sandwich and fries. She gives me the sandwich and eats the fries. A circle has formed at the end of the cafeteria and im watching them. I suddenly hear two familiar voices. One is Cassie “im sorry” then Sam “don’t apologize Cassie! Were better than them!” a high pitched voice came next “who do you think you are?! You can’t talk to me like that! Im the most popular girl in this school!” I smelt blood and surged to the crowd. A girl lay on the floor and Sam was yelling at her “im Sam Goldborn! And you don’t tell me what to do!” she grabbed Cassie’s hand and pushed through the crowd and kept walking to the table. I followed and felt everyone’s eyes on us.

We reached the table and sat down. Everyone was here now. “Sam? Mind to tell us what happened?” Sam crossed her arms “just some hoe trying to bully Cassie”. Cassie’s the innocent one out of all of us. She doesn’t even like fighting even for her own safety I think. Apparently when Alex’s pack attacked us. Felix was protecting her. Cute huh? Anyways they might not be mates but they clearly like each other. We all did whatever at lunch and decided to skip the rest of school. Second year of senior year after all. We only need half credits anyway.
