The furious vampire

Leo was so shaking with rage, causing the earth around us to shake violently.

I lost my balance and would have fallen if Adrian hasn't wrapped his arms around my waist in time.

This action made Leo angrier and he started to give deep empowering growls.

At the same time the wind started howling around us, circling around us, so we were trapped.

"He's using his element powers" said Adrian worriedly, as the wind picked up pace destroying everything in its path.

I rolled my eyes, of course he had strong powers. "Do not do anything to anger him, once he calms down he'll stop the wind and we can escape", whispered Adrian.

So we just patiently stood there waiting for Leo to get over his tantrum and soon enough the whirlwind around us quietened to a soft breeze.

"Why are you here?, You'r not supposed to step out of the castle and especially not come here."questioned Adrian in a 'your immature voice'. "Why are youu here? Your not supposed to wander out of the castle either, especially with her, your doing this on purpose aren't you, you know shes mine." he retorted back in a heartbeat.

I stood there amused listening to the brothers quarrel, until i heard the last part. "Whatt?? You have no authority or me and I can go anywhere with whoever i want without your approval," i exclaimed.

To my utter annoyance he just smirked in reply. What the heck.Who does he think he is, The King of the World?

"Actually I would be, If it wasn't for this damned curse my twin brother helped put on me", replied Leo to my unspoken question, meanwhile glaring daggers at Adrian.

Shocked I turned to face motionless Adrian."What?,  I don't understand why would he do such a thing", I questioned Leo. "Oh I see, he hasn't told you everything has he? Wanting you to believe he's your angelic knight in  shining armor." questioned Leo with a satisfied look on his face, knowing he was 100% correct.

I cast a sidelong glance at Adrian who stood as still as a statue a nervous look slowly creeping up on his face.

"We were once inseparable, nothing could come between us. Until the day we both turned 18, fully transforming into vampires and getting our powers. He can manipulate peoples emotions and I control the elements. Jealousy took over him as he frowned upon his power seeing it as a useless gift. My father saw me as a more successful leader due to not only my powers but my intelligence, my coronation was going to take place that night, but Adrian had other plans. He betrayed everyone, he went into a blood pact with witches, offering them his blood in return for their help to get the vampire throne. They helped him overtake my parents from the throne, binding me too nighttime with the curse so I couldn't interfere. My siblings are oblivious too all this as everyone's memories were erased off that night, they all think he inherited the throne from my father."

I took a couple off steps back from Adrian, as I processed the information a thousand emotions hit me at once; betrayal, sadness, anger, sympathy but above all, I was astonished such a sweet person like Adrian would betray his own family for something as greedy as power.

 I felt like I was seeing him for the first time, his sweet caring persona was slipping off to reveal a power hungry greedy killer.How could I have over looked the fact that  he ordered to kill my parents. He must have been using his emotion manipulating gift all the times I felt I loved him.

In a matter of minutes the situation had taken a 180, now I feared Adrian, even though I fully did not trust Leo I took a couple off steps towards him. I felt a strange pull towards him when i was in a 5 meter raider from him, the same had happened the night of the ball. I let it slip as I had a bigger issue presently.

In a heartbeat Adrian lunged straight for me.Before I could react, In a blink of an eye Leo pushed me backwards stepping In front of me protectively. The push sent me flying backwards into a tree, landing with a hard bang to my head, I let out a soft groan, feeling warm crimson liquid trialing down my neck.

In the distance, I few meters away Leo and Adrian were fighting furiously. Adrian got distracted for a millisecond due to my blood, this gave Leo just enough time to have the upper hand. Knowing he had lost Adrian, fled north in the direction of the castle. 

I had been too distracted to feel the excruciating pain in the back of my head. I started to feel numb and felt my eyes flutter slightly.

"OH NO, please don't lose consciousness, hold on a bit longer," pleaded Leo. I must admit that was the most emotion he'd ever shown me.I felt my self slipping into dense blanket of darkness, but before I lost consciousness, I heard something that made my heart skip a million beats." I love you eternally."
