Emison: Change

Surgery Day

Alison's POV

I woke up around 7am and headed to Emily's house so I can go with her to the Hospital.

"Hey Emily" I said as she opened the door, she yawned and opened the door wider.

"What are you doing here this early?" She asked as I entered her house.

"Surgery today? Remember?"

"Y-Yeah but it's not until 10am" she said going to the kitchen and me following from behind.

"Yeah but I wanted to see you before you went to the hospital." I said sitting on the kitchen counter.

"Want breakfast?" She asked.

"Depends, are you going to make food or burn food?" I said letting out a laugh.

"You're right, you want some cere-" she said but I cut her off.

"I'll make breakfast, just sit here and wait until I'm done" I said getting up from the chair. I got some pans out and the ingredients.

Eggs, bacon, sausage with some Orange Juice.

"Wow Ali, this is great." She said after I placed the plate of food in front of her.

"Kinda got it from my mom" I said sitting next to Emily with my plate.

"Mmm this is soooo good" she said eating some eggs.

I let out a chuckle, "thanks" I said eating my food.

"Thanks again, for breakfast..I never really had time to learn how to cook since my parents are always out of town" she said putting the dishes in the sink.

"They're here right now?" I asked.

"Good morning Emmy!" I turned around and saw Emily's dad coming down with her mom following from behind.

"Morning mom..dad" she said, Emily's dad hugged her and kissed her forehead, her mom kissed her cheek.

"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Fields" I said.

"Alison how many times have we told you to call us Pam and Wayne" Mrs. Fields said.

"Sorry, it's a habit..won't happen again Mrs. Fie- Pam" I said correcting my self.

"Aren't you supposed to be at school?" Wayne asked.

"Uh yeah, but I decided to miss today. I want to be there for Emily." I said looking at Wayne.

"Well it's 9:30...we should get going Hun" Pam said to Emily.

"Yeah yeah..let me just get dressed." She said running up the stairs.

"I'm going to get going, I need to pick up the girls." I said to Pam and Wayne.

"Alright honey, we'll see you there." Pam said.

"Let me just go let Emily know." I said going up the stairs to her room.

Her door was a little open so I just walked it, "hey em, I wanted to le-" I said before I looked up and saw Emily in a bra and jeans only. I stared at her toned stomach, so perfect.

"You wanted to what?" Emily said putting her shirt on, I looked back to her eyes.

"Oh u-um I-I wanted to tell you t-that I'm picking up the girls..I'll see you at the Hospital.." I said stuttering.

"Didn't know I had that effect on you but okay I'll see you there" she said laughing.

"Woah woah, what effect?" I said confused with my arms crossed.

"I-I just wanted t-to tell you t-that.." She said trying to mock me, she bursted out laughing.

"Shut up." I said letting out a chuckle.

"I'll see you later" she said bringing me in for a hug.

Emily's POV

I was laying on a hospital bed, ready to go into surgery. Alison still hasn't showed up.

She said she was coming. Why the hell isn't she here??

"Are you ready?" The doctor asked for the second time.

"Just one more minute" I said sitting up from the hospital bed.

My mom and dad stood beside me, "Honey I don't think she's coming" my mom said.

"Can I just get one freaken minute?!" I said frustrated.

They walked back to the waiting room and sat on the chairs.

"Are you ready now?" The doctor asked again.

I gave him a light nod. I laid down and closed my eyes, I felt the doctor and the nurses push me down the hall.

I still had my eyes shut, refusing to let tears fall.

"Em? Emily?!" I heard someone scream after me.

I lifted my head up a bit and turned around, I looked back and I saw Alison running after me.

"Ali?" I said in a low voice. She caught up to me and grabbed my hand. I laid my head on the bed and admired her beauty.

"I'm right here, Em." She said trying to keep up to the doctors pushing my hospital bed.

"What took you so long?" I said.

"Hanna was hungry" she said, I let out a light laugh.

"Emily, I'll be here after your surgery." She said. I let out a smile, I gripped her hand tighter.

"Ma'am you can't step beyond this point." The nurse said. I was about to go in through some double doors, I brought Alison's hand to my lips and kissed her hand.

"I'll be here, Emily" she said as I went through the double doors. I looked back at her and I saw her standing there as the doors closed completely.

I laid my head back down and took deep breaths. The doctor put a tube on my arm and injected something into it.

"Okay Emily, I need you to count down starting from 10." He said.

"10" I said as I looked up and saw bright lights.

"9"

"8"

"7"

"6" I said slower, the lights above me we're getting blurrier.

"5" I felt my eyes get heavier my the second.

"4"

"3..."

"2.." My eyes were completely giving up on me, everything was in slow motion.
